Field of Screams

This haunt offers a corn field maze, then a two story barn, then a forest all for one price. There is an optional hayride add-on as well for an additional cost. There is a front of the line pass which helps, but still expect to stand in line(s). Also, tickets are cash only, but there is an ATM if you need it.

A large sprawling haunt in Brandenburg Kentucky. Field of Screams is run by expert and dedicated leaders. The actors are likewise dedicated and obviously love what they do. Whether you love being scared (and who doesn't?), or get a chuckle from the witty ghouls that work there, it's worth the cost of admission and the hour or so of your life it takes to see what's going on this year. Just dress warm because Field of screams is outside, and it gets chilly this time of year. Get a hot dog, take a hayride, and get scared out of your wits!

Field of Screams had a lot of changes this year! We went on opening night and enjoyed ourselves. The hayride has some new scenes that were much appreciated. This is a long haunt and we can't wait to go back.

Expect a 2-hour wait to do anything. We left after the hayride. Not scary at all. The actors just got on and talked to you normally. Waste of money and time. Save your money. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and not worth the hype. The lack of scares and the long wait times made the whole event feel like a waste. It's better to find a different haunted attraction that will provide a more thrilling experience.

My family and I have made this haunt a birthday ritual for me since the year they opened. Last year was the first year my son was big enough to go with us and it was a miserable experience because it raining half way through the line and then for a while after that so we were miserable and so were the actors so we wrote that trip off and decided to try again this year (yesterday) with my son. That was the last time we will be back. We purchased the fast pass and even with that people were still cutting the fast pass line and getting let in from that line that didn't have a fast pass ticket, very few actors and the ones that we did encounter did little if anything at all to try and scare anyone. The hayride was a joke. The three actors that did get on it stayed at the back end of the trailer and did nothing to try and scare any of us at the front end of it. The "guide" on the hayride kept telling us we sucked compared to the previous group. Well what do you expect when we just paid for an attraction that was lame and boring. We got stuck in a hallway in the barn for 15 minutes because the girl monitoring the slide at the end of it let these kids just stand there arguing about going down it and backed the entire barn up. Some other customer finally asked them to move out of the way so we could get the line moving again and we finally just bypassed it and went down the stairs once we got up to it. If you're looking for halloween fun without the scare then this is for you. But if you expect to even be scared a little for the price of the attraction then spend your money elsewhere. Year after year it's just gotten worse and worse. This year was it for us. We will find a new place to go for my birthday, which sucks because we didn't really want to end a 20+ year tradition.
