💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Parents concerned about coaching quality and staff demeanor should inquire about specific coaches and observe classes before committing.
  • If considering classes on Mondays at 3pm, be aware of past issues with a potentially rude coach during that slot.
  • Be prepared that management might offer solutions that do not address the root cause of coach-child interaction issues, and communication regarding complaints may be lacking.
  • If a positive and consistently supportive environment is your top priority, especially regarding coach interaction and management's responsiveness to concerns, consider Flex Gymnastics AZ with caution.

Things to Consider

  • Serious issues reported with some coaches being consistently rude, disrespectful, and having a negative attitude towards children, including speaking to them unacceptably.
  • Management (specifically Katie) has been reported to offer only superficial solutions (e.g., alternative class times) without addressing the core issue of a child's mistreatment by a coach.
  • Significant lack of accountability and communication from management, including unanswered emails to higher management regarding severe complaints (e.g., an email sent 1/08/25 was still unacknowledged by 1/21).
  • There is a specific concern about an unnamed coach working Mondays at 3pm who was described as 'extremely rude' to an 8-year-old.
  • Perception that some coaches dislike their jobs and project negativity onto the children.

Our experience at Flex started out fine but ended on a disappointing note after three years. Upon moving to a different class, my child was placed with a coach who was consistently rude, disrespectful, and carried a negative attitude. The tipping point came when this coach spoke to my child in an unacceptable manner. I attempted to address the issue with the front desk, who assured me that the manager would follow up. Katie, the manager, did reach out but only to offer alternative time slots for classes. Unfortunately, the core issue—how my child was treated—was never acknowledged or resolved. Hoping for a better response, I emailed higher management on 1/08/25. As of today (1/21), my email has gone unanswered and unacknowledged. This lack of accountability and communication from the staff and management is deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend Flex to other parents. The coaches seem to dislike their jobs and project that negativity onto the children. If you’re considering this facility, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a more positive and supportive environment.

One of the coaches was extremely rude to my niece. A grown woman being rude to an 8 year old child is just unbelievable. I highly do not recommend bringing your child here. I don’t know her name but she does classes Mondays at 3pm and I hope she loses her job so she no longer has the chance to be mean to these children.
