3 weeks agoWe visited Flyer Thrill Zone 7D Experience in San Francisco on a Wednesday evening. No line when we got there, but even after grabbing our tickets, we had to wait a bit since it wasn’t very busy. The experience itself was okay, but the blasters on the chairs were a little off the aiming didn’t line up great, so if you're trying to get a high score like I was (yep, I compete with my kids), make sure to test your aim on the starting target screen. Watch the X while you shoot so you know where your shots are landing. The flying part was the best smooth, peaceful, and the Bay Area visuals were really nice. It’s definitely something I’d recommend trying at least once if you haven’t done it before. We ended up doing a bundle deal so we could try a couple of experiences. Overall, it was a pretty good activity to add to the day, especially for families or couples just looking to do something fun and a little different.

3 months agoTourist trap fun but can’t tell what makes 7D. 3D glasses are given prior to entering zombie shooting game. Seats shake but that’s about it. It’s fun but I think it’s a bit overpriced. Gun does feel heavy after a while. The San Francisco flying experience was nice but felt short. Also could improve by making the bottom part of the screen bigger to give the illusion of being there.

a month agoThrilled Zone was ok, but the dinosaur version was pretty simple Cg, and the San Francisco version was cheesy being bookended by some story about a stolen engagement ring. The resolution wasn’t great either. We have something similar in Vancouver that is much higher quality with high rez presentation and amazing cinematography. The 7D Experience was fun, but it’s in a different building that’s hard to find. The 3D glasses are re-used and not cleaned very well, so the game ended being kind of blurry.

7 months agoWhile I will say this is a tourist trap, probably overpriced for what it is, it was really fun! The game where you shoot at wear wolfs was thrilling. The “Flyer” ride was fun, but not as much as the shooter game.

2 years agoThe ride was fun and the motion felt realistic. It gave me a rush, even though I knew it wasn't real. There were some scary moments in the ride. The price seemed reasonable and there were free lockers. It's definitely not geographically accurate, but it's fun.
