Fort Chiswell Animal Park

We were looking for a place near Radford VA to take our kids, the parents, and Nonna to go see some live animals. The Fort Chiswell Animal Park was absolutely an AMAZING day with the kids. We all bought a $5 bag of grain each, fed the animals up in the first part of the zoo before the bus tour and hung out until the tour. We saved most of the grain to feed the camel zebras, water buffalo, the llamas and all the rest of the animals on the about 1 hour bus tour around the farm. A+++++, the family here, the employees, all the help all the animals.. just, this place was amazing. A MUST SEE at least once a year, these people totally deserve your support. It isn't even expensive, at all.

We stopped on the way home from vacation. It a cute little zoo. FYI, there was not many animals on the bus your. Also the bus is pretty large, so it’s hard to see some of the animals that come close up. This animal park is good for kids, but certainly not an all day thing. If you are handicapped such as myself, it was pretty hard getting around as there is a hill down and up from the bus. The rest of the animal park is uneven with sand and gravel. The staff was super friendly and the bus tour was very informative. We had a good visit on our way home.

The guide on our tour was informative about the different animals that we saw on the Safari All staff was very helpful and friendly I definitely recommend this drive-thru Safari. My daughter loved Puff the camel he's adorable and very friendly she wants to visit again to see him. I highly recommend this Safari park

Small but fun adventure. My husband and i went just the drive there was worth it with all the beautiful scenery that surrounds it. We were greeted at the front desk and welcomed and informed of all that they had to offer. The animals were all very friendly and all in all it was a great experience! (They did mention they are in the process of expantion)

So much fun! Sweet and knowledgeable staff, reasonably priced, and as you can see, my girl loved it! The animals are well cared for and they all have names and big personalities... Definitely recommend!
