Parents aiming to tire out young children for nap time.
A casual outing that can be combined with visits to the adjacent Sacramento Zoo or Fairytale Town.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Plan for a visit of 2-3 hours; it's suggested as a long enough visit given the size and ride scope.
  • Consider combining your visit with other nearby attractions like the Sacramento Zoo or Fairytale Town.
  • Be prepared for potential long lines and delays, especially during peak times, due to reported staffing issues.
  • Factor in high costs for food and snacks, or plan to eat before/after your visit if budget is a concern.
  • Confirm the operational status of specific rides, like the mini roller coaster, before visiting if it's a key attraction for your family.
  • Note that adults pay an entry fee even if they do not plan to ride.

Things to Consider

  • Significant perception of poor value for money, with entry fees for a family of four ranging from $70-$86 for what some describe as small carnival rides.
  • Understaffing leads to long wait times and lengthy delays for rides, with operators reportedly on breaks or inefficiently rotating.
  • Concerns about ride maintenance, with some parents reporting rides appearing 'falling apart' or 'rigged up'.
  • The mini roller coaster has been reported as inoperable for some time by one reviewer.
  • Some rides (e.g., airplanes, stagecoach) are too narrow for most adults to ride comfortably with children.
  • Food choices are limited (snack and sweet stands only, no full restaurant) and significantly overpriced (e.g., $9 corn dog), with quality issues like cold nachos mentioned.

Price & Value

Entry fees vary slightly by review: Adults $17-$18, Kids $24-$25 (for 34 inches or taller), Seniors $10. Total cost for 2 adults and 2 kids is reported between $70-$86. This entry fee includes unlimited rides. However, many parents perceive this as not worth the cost, comparing it unfavorably to indoor playgrounds (e.g., $12/kid, adults free) which offer more activities. Adults must pay even if they don't ride. Food and snacks are significantly overpriced (e.g., $9 corn dog, nachos described as overpriced with cold cheese).

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accessibility accommodations are mentioned in the reviews.

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • No outside food allowed.
  • Limited food options available from snack and sweet stands on site.
  • No full restaurant on premises.
  • Food and snacks are significantly overpriced (e.g., $9 corn dog).
  • Quality issues reported (e.g., cold nacho cheese).

🚗Parking Info

  • Easy parking is available.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Can experience long wait times and lengthy delays on rides due to reported lack of staff/operators and inefficient ride rotations.

🛡️Safety Features

  • Staff are described as pleasant and great with kids.
  • However, serious concerns are raised about ride maintenance, with descriptions of rides 'falling apart' or being 'rigged up', implying potential safety risks.
  • An advertised 'one operator for every 2 rides' goal is reportedly not always met due to insufficient staffing.

When to Avoid

  • If you expect a full-day, modern, or extensive amusement park experience.
  • If your budget is tight, as the overall cost (entry + food) is perceived as high for the value offered.
  • If long lines, ride delays, or potential ride closures would be frustrating for your family.
  • If you have safety concerns regarding ride maintenance and upkeep.
  • If adults in your party expect to ride most attractions alongside their children, as some are too small.

Perfect for kids under 8. Lots of rides, clean and staffed with pleasant people. Food choices are limited and no outside food but 2-3 hours is a long enough visit. Right near the Zoo and Fairyland .

Affordable fun, and a perfect place to tire out the kiddos for nap time. Lots of rides including a mini roller coaster, and a play structure as well. Parking was easy and it's located next to Fairytale Town and the Sacramento zoo, as well as a grassy park area. Adults $18 Kids $25 (34 inches or taller) Seniors $10 No tickets for rides, entry fee is all that's needed.

Funderland in Sacramento has been an iconic family destination since 1946. This small amusement park consists of 10 rides, such as merry-go-round, rollercoaster, spinning teacups, etc. The target audience is 3-10 year old children. One ride (Octopus) is only for children, and other rides (like airplanes or stagecoach) are too narrow for most adults. Entry fee is currently $17 for each adult and $24 for children. The entry fee includes unlimited rides. There are snack and sweet stands on site, but no full restaurant. Overall, it's a fun day out for families with small children.

Funderland has really gone downhill. To begin, $86 for 2 adults and 2 kids is not worth it. These are small carnival rides and indoor playgrounds usually charge $12/kid (adults are free) and the kids have way more to do than this place. The "rideshare" program makes the experience even worse since you have to wait long times to ride rides due to the lack of staff. The staff are constantly on breaks, inefficient rotations of rides, lots of them just wander around and don't appear to even be working. With that said, they are VERY nice and great with the kids. Back to the cost...I expect more for the amount we paid. Are they putting money back into the business? Rides are falling apart, you can tell where they "rig" something up just to make it limp along. Hopefully nothing bad happens/falls apart and a kid gets hurt. Food/snacks are way overpriced for what you get. The nacho cheese was cold and literally turned solid on the chips within minutes.

$70.00 for family of 4. Adults have to pay now as well even if they don't ride. A corn dog is $9.00, wow. While they advertise they have one operator for every 2 rides, there is not enough operators to achieve that goal. Lines are long and people are frustrated over the lengthy delays. The roller coaster seems to have been inoperable for some time. I won't come here again.
