2 years agoOur experience this past Summer past at Future Stars was incredibly disappointing, to say the least…I wouldn’t recommend that anyone send their children to this program (if they want them to have a good camp experience). Our daughters (age 5 and 6) attended the Center City Philadelphia location and from Day 1 we found the staff (administration, upper staff and directors included) to be less than friendly, helpful and the program itself was much less than what was promised and described when they were so eager to collect tuition. While our oldest did go most of the time, she came home daily less than enthusiastic and questioning many of the activities as they weren’t fun or exciting. One of our daughters had some difficulty adjusting and while we asked for support and guidance (given this is what they do) we got little if any help at all finding a way to help her…which resulted in her not attending for 5 of the 6 weeks she was signed up for. Then after we reach out to the office, after the Summer ended, to discuss our experience and requests for some resolution that we thought fair (given the circumstances) we were met with many excuses and them placing blame on us. I was a camper for 10 years starting at the age of 6 and then was staff at the same camp for many years after that…I certainly have experience and knowledge about how a successful camp is run. This was not that in any way and I would strongly urge anyone considering this program to look elsewhere as there are many wonderful places that would do a much better job in creating happiness for your kids. This was a waste of money and more important…a waste of a Summer that was intended to be fun for our kids…and that was anything but that.

2 years agoNice clean environment for the kids with provided amenities. However the staff here are rude to each other and seem to lack proper communication skills with each other. Which should never be noticed by myself or another parent paying money for their child to spend the summer here. My daughter used to work here and mentioned she felt very unwelcome by the Director Sabrina. Totally not fair!
