6 months agoExcellent update to a classic design at a park with character and beauty. The addition of a boathouse and the ability to paddle board and kayak and fish is going to be a great addition to the community. The trails have always been interesting and some features offer pleasant surprises. Plan a visit and explore

6 months agoMy girlfriend and I visited this newly renovated public park yesterday and were really impressed -- me especially, since I group up in the area and remember what it looked like before the renovation. I mean, it wasn't bad back then in the nineties and oughts... But now it is just gorgeous! T he newly restored pond was like glass, and the new walking paths around the pond made for excellent views. A great place to take photos!

5 months agoThe park has been around for a long time , 1894 but they just added a new section and it's gorgeous. A huge program center, a pond to kayak and more trails.

a year ago8/22/2023 It's a very large park with construction going on in several places. One such project is the restoration of Wolf's Lake or Pond. We found several areas with picnic tables - we walked about & settled at Red Wolf(?) picnic area for lunch & board games (has a playground & restrooms on site). 10/24/23 We returned &, driving by, I noticed the reconstructed Garfield Pond has water in it. No walking today, played games/board games in the pavilion & enjoyed the sun shining on our table.

a month agoNice park with old historic structures and signage. All purpose trail and more rustic paths. †********* Update It seems a lot of the historic structures and signage are gone. They've done a lot of remodeling. They're going to be offering beginners kayak classes including those for disabled. The park is well kept. It's still a nice place to hike.
