2 years agoIt's definitely a great place for restaurants and nightlife! Most weekends the streets are closed off from cars to you can walk down 5th ave for a few blocks and explore!

5 years agoThe gaslamp district is alot of fun. It is very popular and crowded. The district has many historical and beautiful buildings. The biggest negative are the people who have enjoyed themselves too much and the newest fad of adults riding the electric scooters. The sidewalks look like a junk yard warzone littered everywhere with these scooters that pilgrims who have been drinking and have.never ridden a scooter that goes 30 miles and hour in traffic witb no regard to the pedestrians and traffic.

a year agoIt was both great and not great. Fantastic area for walking, restaurants and clubs. It's also very very noisy until 3am. Be careful where you stay and your room location. Overall, an excellent place.

6 years agoSmall and not too historic. Lots of restaurants and bars. Lots of party folk. Great ambiance. Evening must in San Diego.
