Get Up And Go Kayaking - ATX

We had a great experience with Get Up and Go Kayaking! Our guide was friendly and helpful and we had a great time! I would say our event was classified as a "tour" and there wasn't really anything tour-y about it. We just kayaked down the river and back. That being said, we had a great time! Just don't expect the same things you'd expect with an actual tour! The clear kayaks are a fun touch!

Name is Marquita. We had went on a bat tour 4/28/25. Drew was our tour guide. It was one other couple that went out there with us. It was so fun, Drew was pretty cool and very clear on instructions. It was our first time kayaking and will definitely go again. Thanks again.

We had a great time! Tour guide was informative and helpful to those who had never kayaked before. Really peaceful with amazing views of the city at night. Got lucky with the wind and was able to let it carry us on the way back in. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun to do.

My husband and I had an incredible experience kayaking in the glowing/lit-up clear kayaks - 3/16 tour led by our guide, Patrick, of "ATX Get up & Go"! Our guide made us all feel very comfortable and safe-and stayed close to our group the whole time-commenting on the downtown Austin skyline, bridges, waters etc. He even took a couple of pics for us! Was expecting to see more fish underwater but the waters were a bit murky. Did see some tiny fish closer to the shore. Wear waterproof pants & a jacket- butt gets wet-not soaked-but wet.. and gets cool in the middle of the lake! Amazing magical experience all the same -with the waters of Lake Lady Bird shimmering in the colorful lights from our kayaks, as well as seeing the reflections of the majestic buildings of Austin downtown & if you're lucky like us-glimpse of a full moon in the night sky! Would highly recommend it for the adventurous, water-loving people, with atleast one of the two in the tandem kayak comfortable with rowing a kayak. Thank you ATX Get Up & Go!

Guide was great, friendly and helpful. Kayaks were minimalist but stable. Seats were not comfortable, provided minimal support, cushion kept slipping out. We’re used to Pelican or Lifetime - not fancy but with better support. Seats were ok for younger members of our party, but it would be nice if you had a couple kayaks with better seat support for us older folks.
