Great Hills Park - Playscape

We revisited this playground for the first time in years and discovered they'd upgraded the equipment in the last few months. This is a really nice playground! And if you park at the Floral Park Dr trailhead, it makes a really nice destination for a round-trip hike with young kids.

Great park, large areas, playground, exercise station, nice trails, pretty variety of flowers, creek with swimming areas, quiet & peaceful. Street parking next to entrance.

This place is in my 'hood. I once walked here (a good two miles), walked the entire trail, and ended up at the intersection of Balcones Woods and Jollyville, a good 5+ miles away from my house. Will ride my bike to the park henceforth. That walk back damn near killed me. Thank gawd there was a gas station on the way home where I could buy a bottled water.

Very beautiful and has easy and opportunities for a little more challenging walk. Since it was the day after a storm the water was beautiful and it wasn't that muddy.
