We recently stayed at Great Wolf Lodge and overall had a really fun experience. The kids absolutely loved it, especially the water park and all the activities. It’s definitely a great place for family fun, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. That said, there are a few downsides worth noting. The prices are on the higher end, and the food wasn’t great—definitely not the quality you’d expect for what you pay. It was also extremely busy during our stay, and even though we purchased the activity pass, it was hard to get into some of the activities because they were fully booked or reserved early. The water park itself was nice and clean, but smaller compared to other locations we’ve been to, and there wasn’t a whole lot to keep older kids entertained for long. Our room had an issue too—one of the beds was completely broken and couldn’t be used. Unfortunately, they were fully booked, so we couldn’t be moved. On the bright side, the ice cream was a hit, and the activities that we were able to do were super fun and well run. If you’re planning to go, I’d recommend managing your expectations, booking/reserving activities early, and maybe bringing a few snacks or meals of your own.

I just stayed for one night this weekend for my son's 6 year old birthday. We reserved a family suite through Groupon, which was almost $200 cheaper per night than the rates listed on Great Wolf Lodge's site! We've only been to Sandusky, OH's location and this one was much larger/nicer as far as attractions go. When you arrive, you're encouraged to do virtual check-in at the Kisoks and after completing it, my room was automatically assigned and wristbands were dispensed at the machine. I didn't think much of it, seemed easy enough, until I realized just how far of a walk our room was from the elevator. After multiple attempts of trying to make it to the 7th floor while several groups of people all tried pressing different elevator buttons to get one to their floor, one finally opened up and my kids and I were able to make it up to our floor and down the very long walk to our room, with 2 carts of luggage, snacks and supplies for a birthday night. Imagine my surprise when we get all the way there and realize the wristbands from the kiosk will not unlock our doors, even though they were all set to have room access. I left my teenager and birthday boy sitting on the floor outside our room, so they wouldn't have to walk all the way back and forth with our things to fix this issue. When I made it back to the front desk, the lady seemed very aware that this was an issue and just casually pulled different colored wristbands from her desk and activated them all on a device next to her computer. I turned to see a line at each kiosk of people checking in and taking their wristbands from them....you'd think they'd be stopping people and redirecting them to the desk but no...So, I'm sure there were many other angry returns to the desk with inactive wristbands as well. I asked and was given late check out for the inconvenience, which I appreciated and it definitely came in handy! We agreed that the blankets were thin and the beds hard, but our kids had a blast downstairs and that's all that matters! The kids also enjoyed the beautiful city view from our room and our floor was very quiet.

The beds were extremely uncomfortable😞😞 The hotel service was excellent, and the cleanliness of the rooms was very good. However, the quality of the beds left much to be desired. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and we couldn’t sleep at all during our stay. The sofa bed was old and made annoying noises, and one of the beds was even broken. As a result, we woke up with severe back pain. Additionally, we discovered that the shower was leaking, which added to the discomfort of the night since the noise kept us from resting. It was very disappointing that, despite the hotel’s positive aspects, we couldn’t enjoy a good night’s sleep. Definitely, improving the quality of the furniture and paying attention to these details would be crucial for offering a more satisfying experience. The water park has excellent infrastructure and a wide variety of attractions for all ages. What really stands out is the work of the lifeguards, who not only do an impeccable job ensuring the safety of visitors, but also show themselves to be very friendly and fun. Their positive attitude and professional approach make the atmosphere even more relaxed and enjoyable. Some of them even interact in a fun way with both children and adults, adding an extra touch of fun to the experience. Without a doubt, their presence and dedication significantly contribute to making the park a safe and entertaining option for the whole family.

Sarah at check-in was lovely. The rooms badly need renovating however. We were pretty underwhelmed especially after choosing an upgraded room type. The rooms look very dated and gave a motel vibe. Lots of small maintenance issues in our room and even in the hallway of our floor. Lots of caulking issues, loose bed frame on bunk bed, wiggly pieces of the shower handle, to name a few. In addition, the entire hotel minus the mining area downstairs was extremely hot. Other guests were fanning themselves, my son was red and flushed in the face just standing around. When I mentioned to a staff member how hot it was and asked if he could put a work order in for maintenance to look into it he replied “we know it’s hot, feel free to leave a review after checkout.” In hospitality myself, I would never recommend to a guest to “leave a review after”, but instead fix the issue right then and ensure to go above and beyond to provide impeccable guest service. Also, the fast service food on the first floor was extremely sub par, three of us got quick meals for lunch for a total of $60 and all ate half or less and threw away. We left property and decided to eat at a restaurant down the road for dinner as the next meal, which was much better. Overall, fun place but needs some slight improvements.

Firstly, I didn't rate the rooms as we had a day pass and didn't stay the night, so don't let that deter you. Upon arriving at a well layed-out facility, the staff was very welcoming, respectful, attentive, and informative. Our family enjoyed the water features of the location as well as the food. We ended up also booking a cabana for added enjoyment of our experience on the water. I would highly recommend getting a cabana. If traveling with little ones, it makes the trip waaaaay more enjoyable. The food. Wow. Delicious. I was initially a little skeptical of the quality of the food at a "waterpark", but I was quickly proven wrong. Quality was very good and very prompt as well. I would go as far to say that we got our food faster than at a sit down restaurant. We spent the whole day there and definitely got our money's worth. The kiddos enjoyed it to the max. Us parents enjoyed it as well. No stress. Just fun. We will definitely be going back.
