a month agoWe went to see Mid summers night dream, the story was pretty good, the acting was professional and fun. The stage however felt like it was high school level with a $70 price attached... Unimpressed by the stage set up. It needs more props, more bang, more animation and more uniqueness. Beautiful facility though with good actors and a lot of potential if they improve the stage sets.

2 months agoI had the honor of photographing this beautiful wedding at the Guthrie theater and it was such an awesome spot to host a wedding! The location has so many nearby spots for photos and also the staff is truly amazing, I couldn't recommend them more! I look forward to photographing there again!

4 months agoI had not been to the Guthrie theater in 15+ years. We had some family pictures taken there as well as we went to A Christmas Carol. This is a beautiful venue. Access and parking are plenty. Elevators for those who need them. The theater is a perfect size. There are bathrooms all around the theater and a bar that is easy to get to for a drink if you are so inclined (during shows only) The gift shop has some neat items and fun Minnesota things. Excellent venue for pictures; however the transparent floor triggered my fear of heights and that was a no go for me. I can’t believe people walk on that!

a month agoThe Guthrie never disappoints! The Mousetrap was a clever light hearted murder mystery that kept us guessing who could the murderer be with just the right amount of humor sprinkled throughout. And the views of MPLS and the Stone Arch Bridge from the Amber Room and the Endless Bridge never get old!

2 months agoDidn’t get to attend a show but it’s great that the building is open to the public to explore. The architecture is one of a kind and I love the well-curated gift shop. I spent about an hour poking around - well worth it.
