a year agoThis a hidden gem. The park is full of natural beauty. The water views alone are worth the visit. I was amazed by the pristine beauty of the surrounding shoreline, where blue herons were happily hunting. There’s plenty of benches to sit and relax and take in the view. There are bathrooms and a playground for the kids. Whether you are a nature lover, a contemplative soul, or simply in search of a serene getaway, this park is an absolute must-visit. Its hidden allure, beautiful water views, and untouched tranquility combine to create a place that is both rejuvenating and awe-inspiring.

a year agoWe're just getting in town, and after getting food, checking into our hotel and a bit of down time, we chose this park for a nature walk. Our 5.5 year old broke his arm a few days ago, so a playground is the last of my interests. This park has a decent one, but we came for the walk. It's paved so appropriate for strollers, it lines a water way so you'll spot lots of geese and we saw a mallard and another type of duck. The route we took was short, maybe a 1/4 mile. There's a lot of wide open green space perfect for kicking a soccer ball, throwing a Frisbee or football, kickball, etc. Being just after Earth Day, my son and I were especially disappointed to see so much trash and litter. It looks like a combination of people not stewarding the space well as they visit as well as the city being a but behind on trash collection of the cans. A good stop to stretch the legs, walk the dog, let the kids play.... a sunset visit before closing would probably be lovely. We left at 7:37p but not late enough. Lots of picnic tables and a minimalist stage. Oh, did I mention there's a waterfall vibe as well? 😉

5 years agoIt's a really nice park it's Huge you can picnics there and they have grills to use and covered areas and benches in the open and water falls area and they even have Volleyball not so tough can bring your ball and your crew and play. So much space you won't feel clustered.

3 years agoI loved this park. Apart from some non-urban (they were skaters) rowdy teens using foul language and smoking cigarettes the park was nice. I'm not going to punish the park because of its users kids will be kids that's just life. They were not terrible just average adolescents. Other then that my daughter's loved the slides. The nets on the basketball courts also need to be replaced.
