Amazing!!!! We did a tour with my family and it was so so good! The variety of animals! The knowledge we gained on the tour was awesome and the staff were so knowledgeable and helpful! We were able to touch so many animals and the value for the money well worth it! The capybaras were a highlight! Highly recommend and my kids liked it better than the regular zoo! We got a 2 hour tour too ☺️

I've pondered on if I wanted to leave this review or not but after what I witnessed yesterday I had to speak up. Hand me down zoo visited my children's school for STEM NIGHT where the students can participate in several interactive activities including petting some of the animals that Hand Me Down Zoo brought. There were several baby Nigerian dwarf goats, a sheep, a couple of rabbits, an emu, and some tortoises. To start off, the pen they had them all in was very small. They were allowing 10 kids in the pen at a time and there was a swarm of people surrounding the pen with parents taking pictures and other kids trying to pet the animals through the fence. There was a teacher shouting the "rules" and the animals were EXTREMELY frightened the entire time. One of the baby goats had dried up feces all over it's fur around it's bottom from where it had been so stressed and had an upset stomach at one point. Prior to us leaving, my son wanted to see the animals one more time. While he was in the pen, all of a sudden the sheep started to yell (baaaahhh! baaaaahhhh!!). You could tell it wanted out and was EXTREMELY terrified and both kids and adults around were laughing at it. One of the ones that works for the zoo was standing there and didn't do anything. It was very sad and my son started to cry. All in all they shouldn't have had so many around these animals at once and should have given them more space. They were all terrified the entire time and nobody was doing anything about it. The poor baby goats I felt especially bad for. I don't know there situation as far as what happened to their mother, but I do know they are bottle babies because they are way too small to have already been weaned. Next time an event is held, there needs to be strict rules and more space given so that these animals don't feel tortured for hours. I've never been to the actual wildlife center they stay at and I don't think they are abused by any means since they seem healthy, but to have hundreds of people allowed to crowd them like that and not do anything about it is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. This whole experience ruined our night that was supposed to be a fun mother/son bonding time.

This is a must go. I had some of my daughter’s friends there for a tour, and it was amazing. The kids got to learn, touch and hold so many animals, including chinchillas, fox, bunnies, wild cats, prairie dogs, otters, and some reptiles. Staff was very knowledgeable, made sure everyone stayed safe, and enjoyed themselves! Best part, any money you are paying is a donation to help feed the animals. Please call and set up an appointment and support this little zoo! It will NOT be a disappointment!!

Thank you so much, Kerry, for taking in our hurt squirrel. After trying like five other places during this storm and being unable to get help, you answered my call and took in this little guy/gal
