Hands On! Children's Museum

A must see if you have a little one! We went during a time where they just reopened for play and they were reaching out to help those affected by Hurricane Helene which was beautiful to see. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful there. Our daughter had SO much fun, we probably could have stayed hours. The Publix supermarket was a huge hit! Came from Montreal and had a great time, will visit again when I’m in the neighbourhood.

We recently visited the Hands-On Museum and while it's a fun concept and great for younger kids to explore, we were a bit disappointed with the condition of several exhibits. The water table, which is usually a big hit, had parts that weren’t working properly. A few of the LEGO cars were broken or missing pieces, and the construction site area wasn’t functioning as expected either. It's understandable that things get worn out with heavy use, but it felt like too many exhibits were in need of repair. For a $10 per person admission, it’s fair to expect most of the features to be in working order. I would honestly much rather take the kids to the nature center or the park.

I don’t think this was really worth the money. My son is almost 4 and we go to a ton of children’s museums around the country, this was definitely a “small town” version which I can understand. I wish they would replace some of the broken train table equipment, and figure out the ball elevator so they don’t all just fall down. Still, if it’s a rainy day and you’re visiting, it’s a decent option.

My 3 year old had a great time here! The place was extremely clean and very entertaining. There were lots of volunteers constantly cleaning up the area and putting away toys, so it was always ready for the next child to play with.

We live in Austin TX and visited the museum over the holidays while visiting family. While having so much fun, my 4yo daughter dropped her favorite hat somewhere in the museum. When we realized it was missing, they had already closed and would not reopen until we were already home. We called to see if it was there and they offered to mail it to us, all the way to Texas. It just arrived and my kid is very, very happy to have her hat back. This service went above and beyond, and shows what care they have for the kids and their families that visit. Thank you Hands On!
