a month agoMy 3-year-old daughter has had an amazing year at Harpeth Gymnastics. She looks forward to every class and feels completely comfortable with her coaches, who are patient and encouraging. The other kids are sweet, and the environment is welcoming and fun. Thanks to her time here, she’s the only girl in her pre-K class who can do the monkey bars all by herself! :)

2 years agoUPDATE June 2022: We continue to love Harpeth Gymnastics! We have now enrolled in Beginner/Intermediate Boys’ gymnastics after doing a trial class at a gym closer to our home. It is WELL worth the drive to Grassland to receive such thorough instruction from the coaches. We also had our second son’s birthday there this past weekend and again have had such a wonderful experience! I have been involved with Harpeth Gymnastics in one way or another for over 20 years and have always been pleased. The owners, Scott & Glenda, take the time to know families who are enrolled and truly care about the students as if they were their own. The coaches are fun and engaging with the students, teaching them not only gymnastics skills, but life skills! We recently had our son's birthday party there and the kids had a blast. The coaches made it so fun for them and it was so easy for us as the parents! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Harpeth Gymnastics!

4 months agoWe participated in the boys competitive gymnastics program for one year and then met with leadership to discuss a concern that we had with the program. Rather than work through the issue at hand they terminated us from the program. Updated 12/6/24, I am updating this review about 6 months after it was posted because I see a response below to another review that mentions leaderships concern for safety. We did not see that concern in our case. I met (at the advice of legal counsel) to discuss possibility that child abuse was taking place during the boys gymnastics team practice. They met with us for 1 hour and then terminated (via email) my boy from the program. From my perspective, there were all kinds of practices that violated USA Gymnastics and USA Safesport protocols. Harpeth School of Gymnastics, USA Gymnastics, The USA Center for Safesport and the Tennessee Department of Children Services never gave us a reply to our concerns. We concluded that Gymnastics was not a well regulated sport. This is why we give the program a 1 star review.

8 months agoMy three year-old was allowed to attend two classes before they kicked us out because they said he “was not learning the routines quickly enough.” They said they were not willing to give him another chance, and we could not return. I was shocked by such harsh treatment especially from a place that claims to be family friendly.
