10 months agoWe came to Higher Pursuits to kayak for Father’s Day and had an excellent experience from start to finish. They were very easy to book with, the staff was professional and welcoming, and the kayaks were great quality. Going down the duck river as a family created amazing memories and we plan to make a trip at least once a year if not more. We want to buy kayaks and do this frequently now, so thank you for giving us a new family activity to love!!

10 months agoWe loved it so much here last year, we came back for Fathers Day! Our group loves the easy flow of the duck river and the Higher Pursuit Family are great to work with. They have become a tradition for us.

10 months agoI really enjoyed my trip. My friend made the reservations for our kayaks and launch time online for our party. She highly recommends making them to insure your party, time, and boats are secured. They provide lifejackets, and I really liked the run down of conditions of the river, laws, and safety notes before they transport you to the launch point. There were many places to stop and swim. The water was no more than 4ft deep in many places. I enjoyed it so much, I could see myself making another trip with my kids. (This was a mom's trip)

a year agoHigher Pursuits has been my go-to outfitter for many years now. Their crews run the operation like fine clockwork, ensuring customers get what they need, while keeping safety and responsible steadfast stewardship of the environment as top priorities. In turn, once they set you out on the water, if you're fortunate and arrive early, the Duck River offers up her biodiverse splendors for the quiet witness to behold - her fauna and flora - plentiful mollusks, ducks, cranes, and if you're lucky, you may see an eagle or otters. It's my most treasured escape from the weekday hustle and hustle of man's world here in Tennessee's native wilderness.

11 months agoAwesome time not much paddling other than when you need to steer…they just got some new hybrid kayak/paddleboard and they are amazing..I took my dog out on it and it was wide and stable enough for the both of us and there’s a little chairs so you’re not sitting so down into the kayak…the staff were extremely nice, knowledgeable, and helpful…definitely coming back…thank you guys for a great day! Don’t forget to tip the drivers!!!!!
