Hinckley Park is located in the center of a beautiful wooded area with a lake in the center with a paved walking trail all the way around it. The trail is three miles around the outside. I walk my dog here all the time, especially if the weather had been raining or bad because you won't get muddy due to the trail. There are a bunch of places to pull off and park or you can venture down to the main area with the boat house store and boat launch ramp. Restrooms are found here and throughout the park. Beautiful scenery with a great touch of nature sound and views. The drive to get there are back roads and main little highways. Just the spot to have your windows down and your favorite song playing. The store closes at 5 and has a lot about the area of Hinckley in there along with snacks, drinks, toys, books and more. If you want to go be a little more adventurous and hike, the Ledges are the place to be. The entrance is just on the other side of the road on the three mile outside loop trail. If you need anything, there is also a ranger station at the bottom of the hill. They are doing some construction to get ready for summer but this does not impact your walk in anyway.

Sadly, there is no lake currently (March 2025) as it is undergoing a renovation project. That being said, the boathouse is still open for business. Workers were friendly and helpful when it came to questions and any interaction with customers. There was a wide array of cute buzzard merchandise as well as Hinckley themed.

Very unique hiking trail with its sculptures carved into the cliffs. Keep your eyes open because you could easily miss them. Two warnings, parts of the trail are not well marked and the trail is extremely muddy in spots, you will trash your shoes on this trail. Even with those warnings we really enjoyed our hike.

Lovely place. Trails can be easily done, some are hilly others are pretty straight forward. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this is a best place to go to. Except winter I mean if you like sledding and stuff winter is good time to spend too, but for someone like me Spring and autumn are the best times. This place is serene and beautiful. There is a boating reservation too if you like renting a kayak and doing it.Parking is available.

Beautiful, beautiful little park in any season. The trails are relatively short and quite manageable, and there are so many small, scenic areas for photographic opportunities. Please do be careful as you wander around the ledges, they are especially treacherous in winter. Also, the trails are not always clearly marked, and it can be easy to get lost and accidentally wind up on someone's private property without realizing it. However, if you're attentive to where you are, this place is ripe for exploration.
