3 weeks agoThis is a really nice, clean playground with high quality equipment. There are plenty of play areas for different ages and abilities. There are a lot of benches and shaded areas. There is a soccer field and some other areas of that nature, but I didn’t pay close enough attention to them to list them here. The zip line is the best part as it is so much fun, and it’s a feature that is unique to only a very small handful of playgrounds. The materials used for the grounds are predominantly turf and wood chips. I would give a full 5 stars if they had any bathrooms, but there are none, and the park isn’t near a gas station or any restaurants—not that anyone should have to pack up the kids and drive around just for a bathroom break. They NEED to put a restroom in, and there is plenty of space to build one. We traveled far to get to this playground, but we had to leave way too early to find toilets. We live close to downtown KCMO and it was so nice to be in this rural, quiet area. It’s just so peaceful. And there were so many large birds swooping around that were fun to watch.

a year agoExtremely beautiful place for a family outing, restrooms were clean and easy accessible picnic area is immaculate and all the others families were sociable and friendly. It can be loud and overwhelming when the park is full but what you expect kids are playing and having fun.

3 years agoAmazing playground with padded astroturf base. Tons of climbing equipment great for kids of all ages. Zip line, running/ walking path, hiking trails nearby. Pretend fort area. Our family had a wonderful time running and exploring! Swings, rope climbing stuff, pretend tree house, and slides everywhere.

4 years agoLove the new playground and the trail connects all the way to the golf course on the other side. It’s the perfect place for us to host a 5k / 10k race. The participants all enjoyed the views of nature and running through the living history museum. That is also something I will definitely be bringing my kids back to visit: the Shoal Creek Living History Museum. It’s a free!
