7 months agoLocated less than ten minutes from Lafayette Village and one of the best coffee shops, Jubala! This park doesn’t offer much shade, but there are bathrooms, picnic benches with shelter, two toddler swings, and separate playground for older and younger children with a wood chip turf. Both sets are close enough to keep an eye on older siblings while attending to younger siblings. There are signs on the equipment that show this is an aged playground and facilities, but my children still had a great time.

3 years agoSuper cool playground! My son always enjoys playing here abs running all around in between the two playgrounds. The main playground has that awesome triple slide that a few other playgrounds have. Has a half dozen different creative ways to climb up to the higher level. There’s a picnic shelter, sand beach volleyball court, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a paved trail through the woods. Really enjoyable park!

4 months agoHoneycutt is a larger park at 30 acres. It includes two playgrounds, sports fields including basketball, baseball, sand volleyball courts, picnic areas and some walking trails. The volleyball court was looking good today as was the basketball court. The baseball field is marked off this time of year (mid-December) to allow the grass to regrow. The picnic shelter is next to the playground and has a restroom facility. I had a pleasant walk around Honeycutt Park.

8 months agoIt's a really wonderful park but there is zero shade. There is a shady walking trail though. If it gets too hot for the kids, we take a walk.

4 months agoHoneycutt Park used to be a wonderful place to take children and to walk dogs, to watch baseball games, volleyball games, play basketball, and watch children play on the playground. Within the last couple of months, the park has been trashed and vandalized. There are broken bottles everywhere, the parking lot is covered with empty beer cans and trash is everywhere. There are plenty of trash cans in the park so there is no excuse for this. There has been gang graffiti on the walls and on trash cans along the walkway. I think the park needs to be better patrolled at night.
