a month agoAs someone new to the whole climbing experience this was the best gym we have visited. My wife and I are very much beginners and have been trying different place to climb. Hoosier Heights is by far the best overall experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the video was supper informative for a beginner, and the facilities were awesome. There is plenty of diversity and we felt like there was a lot we didn't get to try in just one visit. We will be back to explore more!!

a year agoThis place is absolutely awesome. I came with my three boys (ages nine, seven, and four) and everyone was extremely friendly. The girl at the front desk got us checked in and watching the intro video within five minutes of walking in. We had shoes and gear within 10. It was very efficient. The walls are amazing and are better than just about any climbing gym I’ve ever seen. There was constant Bob Marley playing at just the right volume and we had an absolutely amazing time. We will 100% be back.

a week agoThis gym is a bucket list must for any enthusiastic climber! Their huge, inverse bouldering tower with a sponge pit below is one of a kind! ...and ao much fun!!! I live out of state, and I will be coming back to this gym. 😉

2 weeks agoGreat gym - friendly staff and members! The routes are set well and the walls are quite tall. Excellent bouldering, lots of lead routes and TR as well as extensive workout equipment.

3 weeks agoI have been a member for a little under 3 years, and have observed the gym really go down hill in that time in terms of quality for a casual climber. The gym seems more focused on holding competitions every couple of months than setting quality routes consistently - there must be more money in that than making for a worthwhile experience for someone who wants to come enjoy climbing a few times a week. There are currently 4 auto belays with non-comp routes, and they haven't been changed for the last 3 months (routes frequently sit around for up to 4 months). Anything else you want to climb on top rope or an auto belay is a comp route. When I started coming to Hoosier Heights the route setting was much more consistent and interesting, but at this point with all of the gym being dedicated to comp climbing (I don't care for the style and most of the routes are generally beyond my skill range) I unfortunately don't think this gym is really meant for me anymore, or for people who aren't hardcore climbers trying to grind.
