6 years agoMy wife, roommate, and I all hiked this trail and it was amazing. We spent 3 hours hiking and yes we got tired but well worth it for the view. I would recommended comfortable shoes and going when it's not to hot. Bring plenty of water! It was so fun definitely recommend!

3 weeks agoLet’s just say I would give it a 5 star for how pretty this place is and close to Spokane valley. I give it a 3 star because of the people. If you’re not rolling in cash don’t roll up in there because my goodness. The looks I was given when I was pulled over in a spot I was allowed to pull over in to make sure my oil was good I had two different trucks roll by and instead of like I’m used to “hey?, everything alright? Need help?” I got one death stare and sat there and then was off after a minute of gauging me. Then the next truck had two guys in it and not as bad as looks but still just about a snotty as you can get. The look like you don’t belong here. Mind you I was driving an older Honda crv with a trailer but all in working order and not bad looking just older. I’m not much for how much money you have or not. I didn’t stay long after that because they were heading right into the conservation area. I’m good and find somewhere where people are not at if that’s how they will be. If it gets busy there isn’t much parking by the way. So keep that in mind.

11 months agoNice local hiking great location to see local birds, flora and fauna. Enjoy the views as you assend the hill to the west. Be prepared for mosquitos or flies that bite if you stop. Some days I have been here where it is not an issue.

8 years agoMy favorite place to hike. Beautiful view from the top and rocks to climb. Great loop trails and a stream that follows one during spring. Morels grow like crazy up here if you know where to look. The best time to do this hike is on a rainy day. All the smells are enhanced and poplar trees are giving off their scent.

5 years agoRocks of Sharon. One of the best "mild-moderate" hikes I've been on. We started and ended at the Stephens creek trail head. Took about 5 hours, we did stop to have our lunch, and took lots of pictures. The rock climbers in our group loved it and were super bummed they didn't bring their gear! We saw moose, snakes, and Chipmunks!!
