Ingrid's Gymnastics
Overview
Expert Summary
Detailed Insights
Ingrid's Gymnastics appears to foster long-term loyalty and love for the sport among some children, with several families reporting consistent enjoyment over multiple years. However, new customers, especially those with young children, face significant operational and safety concerns regarding staff professionalism, child supervision, and parent observation policies. The venue's value proposition seems to be its ability to retain students who develop an attachment to the program and staff, rather than a strong initial onboarding experience or transparent operations.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →Be prepared for a drop-off experience where parents observe only from an outside viewing window, even for trial classes.
- →If enrolling a young child (4-5 years old), be extremely vigilant and inquire specifically about coach-to-student ratios and supervision protocols, especially for new students.
- →Inquire about the class make-up policy in detail before committing.
- →Factor in potential parking difficulties or inadequate parking when planning your visit.
- →Be prepared for high fees which some parents feel do not match the facility's size or value.
Things to Consider
- ⚠Parents are not allowed to observe practices directly inside the gym; viewing is limited to an outside window, even for trial classes.
- ⚠Significant issues with supervision for young children (e.g., a 4-year-old left alone in the room, staff unaware of child's whereabouts).
- ⚠Lack of professional greeting or introduction for new students and their accompanying adults, especially for trial classes.
- ⚠Staff reportedly ignores new students, focusing attention only on familiar children.
- ⚠Child was sent outside in 46° weather without a jacket, shoes, or socks after class.
- ⚠Staff allegedly blamed a 4-year-old child for being unsupervised.
- ⚠Management (Ingrid) reportedly stated the child was alone because the parent was watching from a viewing window, shifting supervision responsibility despite a drop-off policy.
- ⚠Concerns about the parking situation, which is described as needing improvement.
- ⚠Unsatisfactory class make-up policies.
- ⚠High fees are considered disproportionate and 'inconsiderate' given the perceived 'small size of the gym'.
- ⚠Reviewer expresses concern that lack of parent presence increases risk of bullying and sexual crimes.
- ⚠Overall perception of 'cheap vibes' and lack of professionalism/transparency.
Price & Value

11 months agoAs a specialist in Covid safety, I believe it is crucial for parents to be allowed during practices, even with observation time limits in place. Using Covid guidelines to exclude parents is unacceptable and they are not following CDC recommendations. This policy increases the risk of gymnasts falling victim to sexual crimes and bullying by coaches and peers. This is dangerous for both small children and teens. Ingrid's Gymnastics should also improve its parking situation and class make-up policies. Better gyms exist that do not exploit parents for profit. The high fees are inconsiderate, especially given the small size of the gym. Two thumbs down for this place. My advice: step up your game, provide better value for the parents who support you, and ensure a safer, more transparent environment for the gymnasts. Currently, this gym gives off very cheap vibes.
Welmaker Wellness Woman
2 years agoThis was the worst experience I ever had with adults dealing with children. My granddaughter went for a trial class and when we walked in the door without introducing themselves one woman begin telling her to take off her coat and shoes. Told me that I could pick her up from the exit doors. With this being her first day I arrived early so I could get any information maybe discuss what we could expect but instead I was expected to just drop my child off and go watch from an outside viewing window. As I watched I noticed the teachers only paying attention to those students they were familiar with and Naomi was left to just explore the area. Only a few times did the teachers even interact with her. When it was time to leave the teacher walked out of the class and left Naomi alone in the room. Ingrid came in and got her but by this time the teacher was coming out of the front door aggressively asking us "where is Naomi?" I asked her why she was asking me and her reply was "Tell Naomi she can't leave class alone." I was so confused. I walked to the exit door and Naomi was not there no one knew where she was. Then the teacher comes out the front door with Naomi with no Jacket, no shoes or socks, (46° outside). Appearing upset she hands Naomi to me and continues to blame the 4yr old for being unsupervised. I spoke with Ingrid and she stated that Naomi us alone in the room because my husband was watching her through the viewing window. I am so disappointed with the way we were handled and for this to be the trial class I expected so much more. How is a coach of 4 and 5 year olds unaware of where her students are at all times? Is the class to crowded? Are there not enough teachers in the class to assist with supervision? I read the reviews and this is why we selected this one but I realized that there weren't many parents present to really know what is happening with their children. I wouldn't recommend this place. The professionalism is non existing. This may be fine for older gymnast just stear clear if you have little ones that need supervision.
