9 months ago♿️⚠️This is a gorgeous nature trail recently discovered on my search for new places to walk. I would not say it's completely accessible for everyone, but it's crushed gravel. There are a few small hills along the way. I believe you could get at least to the furnace area and picnic area perfectly fine. That is why I put the caution sign. Use discretion. It's not a long walk, but it is beautiful. The community spends so much time on these parks and trails to keep them this way. I will definitely come back to walk again. I parked on Scenic Drive and walked in, but there is another parking area at the other end that was not as busy when I arrived. I absolutely loved the walk, the trail, the history, finding new things along the way to admire. Another gem that the Birmingham area offers.

8 months agoBeautiful trail. Easy walk. It's in a neighborhood and you do need to park on the opposite of the road and walk across. Pet friendly. There are also several historical markers along the trail.

a year agoSerene little out and back walk with a wide crushed gravel trail going creekside-- just over a mile round trip.

2 years agoWe just left this park which was beautiful-however on the way out we encountered two dogs not on a leash or with anyone. We had to get around them to get out of the park and back to our car. They tried to come near us while barking at us!!! Luckily there was a piece of wood nearby which scared them off-they crossed the creek and came back to us barking again further along. Didn’t get close enough to see if they had tags- luckily I was there for my wife. If these are your dogs you are an irresponsible owner who shouldn’t have dogs!! We wanted to post this to make other ppl aware that there might be strays in the area.
