Came here to go birding. There's a lot of them out here, and it's beautiful, with palms and Spanish Moss scattered throughout. Keep your eyes out for alligators too, and if you're lucky you might hear the beautiful, amazing sound of a Bird-voiced Treefrog. I was very excited to hear some, as my previous wildlife passion was reptiles and amphibians.

Great reserve area. We did not see too much wildlife but it still a nice place to enjoy nature.

We were able to get close to the beauty and wonder of the swamp. I recommend the walk behind the visitors center. Stunning views. So peaceful. Just be very careful, we only saw one other couple while we were there. So if the visitor center is closed, you can enjoy the park, but it can be dangerous and you're on your own.
