a year agoExcellent spot to bring your own tubes and enjoy the river with your family. Recommend for: families and individuals on day trip who want to enjoy one spot or float. Pros: inexpensive, excellent spot on the river, parking right on the river, van rides up river for float trips. We visited this Jerry’s at the end of June 2023. We chose not float the river because it was low only 52 CFM. Tubing when it’s this low requires a lot of rock hoping which we weren’t up for. This spot was perfect. We hung out in the deep water above the bridge, floated through the chute and floated down river a little through some rapids. It was beautiful, we saw a large soft shell turtle and a broad banded water snake a long with great views of old cypress trees and the limestone cliffs. It cost us $20 to park for the day and Jerry’s offers all your basic needs in the store, drinks, shoes and any other basics you need.

9 months agoMy family has been coming here for years, we hardly go in to Jerry's rantals only if we need to rent a tube or use the facilities, usually we just pay for the day parking so we could access the river. The cost of parking varies depending what day it is. We came here for 4th of July so parking was $40 because it was a holiday. There are some stairs going down into the river, its a bit of a hassle getting all of our stuff down the stair but we do take alot of things. We set up a canopy, table, chairs, tubes, ice chests & bbq pit right in the water so on the very hot days we can still stay cool & stay in the water with our kids. This part of the river is not deep so its nice to sit & relax in the water watching or our kids catch little fish with there nets or relax in their tubes. We also walk over to the other side of the bridge which is deeper so we can float down over the bridge on tubes.

a year agoWe always have a great time hanging out for the day at Jerry’s (right after the 1st crossing). It was $20 parking May 31, 2023. Nice change back from the $40 they were charging at one point, assuming they were trying to recoup losses during Covid. But refreshing to only pay $20 again. The staff is always nice there and the store is great for essentials stuff you may have forgotten to bring. Water wasn’t running very fast but it was a Wednesday rt after the Memorial Day rush. Perfect and quiet time to set up to sit in the shallow water at the base of the steps and play with the pup on his first river outing. Weekdays are the best if you’re looking to avoid massive crowds.

a year agoExtremely helpful staff. You can have this company shuttle you up river and tube the Guadalupe back down stream to their business. 2-4 hour river float options. This is for those tubers who want to drink and relax. There will not be a bunch of rapids on this float, so just lay back and enjoy the cold refreshing water and company. Rockin R across the river.
