a year agoWe had a blast at the Children's zoo here. You can pet the animals here. We saw a alpaca and the alpaca was so cute. When we tried to take photo the alpaca was giving us a smiley face for the photo. Other than that there is also cow and goats in the children zoo. The kids around us were very happy to see the animals and pet them. if you are visiting Houston zoo with children, you should definitely check out this area.

2 years agoVery friendly staff. The Houston zoo is a very good place to spend a day with family and friends. It is kid's friendly with many interesting attractions specially tailored with the little ones in mind, I gliding but not limited to the petting zoo area. Parking is complex here, specially on peak season and weekends. Come with enough time to spare if you have a time slot to do something in this place.

4 years agoSmall area for little more interaction with animals. Mostly there are goats but last time I saw ducks 🦆 chickens 🐔 and some other peacock type birds as well. There is also a lama/alpaca whatever its called I can never tell the difference. I wish they'd add some 🐦 mccaw in this section.
