K1 Speed - Indoor Go Karts, Corporate Event Venue, Team Building Activities

Our kids are on spring break and we decided to take a trip to Memphis for some new activities. This was a last minute decision but ended up being the most favorite activity that we did! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Even going as far to let our daughter test out and see if she was tall enough. She was not, but allowing her to even try was awesome. The facility also looked and smelt very clean. If we are back in the Memphis area we will be back!

Great place to have fun & celebrate a birthday! They have a nice standing area for photos! They print your racing report at the end. My only suggestion is to register before getting there to avoid waiting in the lobby. They charge $7 per person plus whatever amount of races you want. They don’t sell any warm food, like pizza or anything like that. Having a birthday with 6 kids was $385 , not cheap but it was fun!

K1 Speed Review If I told you that K1 Speed has changed my life and given me a sense of purpose, you might think I’m exaggerating. Definitely the best go-karting experience I have ever had. I only did one race, but it was worth it. The track layout is awesome and the karts are really nice to drive. Unlike other go-kart attractions, K1 actually requires racing strategy. There is a preferred racing line. You have to be cognitive of your brakes and throttle so you don't understeer or lock up your brakes. There is none of that in every other casual go-kart venue I have been to. You can pretty much just keep your foot on the gas the entire lap without having to worry about braking, corner entry/corner exit, understeer, etc. I would certainly do this again, had a blast!

I’m just really confused about the height requirements. My daughter stood in front of the board and she was taller than the board they made her go sit in an adult go kart to see what she be able to see clearly enough to drive. He stated that it was a Saturday, she couldn’t drive come back during the week because he didn’t think she could keep up. Which I feel like it wasn’t his decision. She’s been there before, but not since they have changed the name and we didn’t have a problem. She drives go karts everywhere we go. I just felt like that wasn’t right of him and we will never visit again.
