Ok, so the overall experience was good for my first time. First rooms. Modern, clean. You have everything that you need, including microwave and fridge. Walk areas between the rooms smell bad like a wet carpet, but that is normal for a waterpark place with carpet. Staff was ok. Helpful at the front desk. Food at the hotel is ok. The breakfast buffet was great. Definitely to stop by. Great souvenirs stores. There are plenty of picture-perfect spots. Bars was ok - pricey. Outdoor park/garden was good. What i didn't like was that everything except the piano bar closes at 10 pm. I felt like they forced you to go to your room. Waterpark was great. There are plenty of kids' attractions and activities. The outdoor pool was open when we arrived and closed on a Monday that was a big minus for me. Would I visit again ? Yes, for sure!

Our Family Getaway at Kalahari Resorts, Texas We spent a few days at Kalahari Resorts, and I just have to share our experience. In short—it’s a paradise for kids! We have teenagers (16 and 14), and even they loved it. For younger kids, it’s an absolute dream. What We Loved the Most First—the massive water park! There are slides for every taste—some extreme, some more relaxed. The water could have been a bit warmer (we went in the spring), but that’s just a small thing. I also liked that there’s an adults-only area where you can just relax while the kids run around. Second—all the activities. Besides the water park, there’s a huge arcade, climbing areas, go-karts, and even two escape rooms (book them in advance!). Honestly, the kids were entertained all day long. Third—the food. There are so many restaurants to choose from. Perfect for kids—pizza, pasta, burgers, mac and cheese, you name it. And for adults, there are cafés and cocktail bars. We tried their margaritas—so good! Fourth—the overall atmosphere. Everything is clean, beautifully decorated, with lots of African-themed decor and cozy lounge areas. One thing I really liked is that you can pay with a wristband everywhere, so you don’t need to carry cash. A Few Things to Keep in Mind • It’s not cheap, especially during holidays and school breaks, but everything is in one place, so you don’t have to go anywhere else. • It can get crowded, but the place is huge, so it never felt overwhelming. • If you want to do escape rooms or other popular activities, book in advance. Overall, we had a great time! The kids were happy, and so were we. If you’re looking for a fun family getaway, I totally recommend it!

I thank you for protecting me and my family (and of course the other guests) for the power out during the high winds' day.

Stayed here for conventions but finally took the family and we loved our visit. Clean rooms, very nice staff and everything was a ton of fun. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. Love the cashless policy, makes it so much easier to go to water park and restaurants. Check-in is so easy and tons of staff to help you in case you get lost/confused.

Do NOT trust this hotel or stay here. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I am never the kind of person to write these kinds of reviews but this place is unethical. I accidentally left my wallet at a table (with $200 cash) and contacted the front desk about the missing item. They helped me fill out a Google form and the next day (after checking security camera footage) they confirmed a good samaritan turned it in without opening the wallet. Kalahari Resort’s security and management team confirmed that the issue was in fact INTERNAL. They have direct evidence confirming an employee stole money from my wallet after it was turned in to lost in found. I was told the only way I could possibly get my money back would to be by filing a police report. Please keep in mind, I am a minor and I came here on a school trip for FBLA. Me losing this cash was very inconvenient and I had to worry about how I was going to pay for my next meal. Ironic that their mission statement includes “protecting the environment, and conducting business ethically” when they don’t even told their employees liable when they break the law.
