Kalahari Resorts & Convention Center - Poconos

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our recent stay at Kalahari Resorts was truly exceptional. The room was spotless and very comfortable, providing a relaxing haven after a day of fun. The waterpark area was a highlight – incredibly well-maintained, clean, and surprisingly not overcrowded, with plenty of attentive staff on hand. We also had a wonderful experience at the Italian restaurant; the food was excellent and a big hit with the whole family. In fact, all the food, drink, and snack options throughout the resort were impressive, offering a great variety and quality. It was so convenient having everything we needed right there – we truly didn't need to leave the resort at all. What really stood out was the friendly and helpful attitude of every staff member we encountered. The only minor drawbacks were that the kiosk ordering system seemed to slow things down a bit, and the prices for items were on the higher side. However, the convenience of having everything within the resort definitely factored into that. Overall, we had a fantastic and memorable family vacation at Kalahari and would highly recommend it!

Great family quick 2 day trip! Water park is great for kids of all ages. There are slides and a full area dedicated to younger kids (toddlers:babies) and a full area great for older toddlers and young kids with a row of water slides, water up to your knees. There is a big splash zone with slides and sprayers that is great for older kids and older toddlers! A ton of big slides for teens and adults. My kids loved the wave pool as well. We rented a cabana for both days and felt it was definitely worth it! Standard cabana fit our 2 families of 4 and was very nice to have a spot to relax, eat and have food and drinks delivered by our server. We were very impressed by the chicken finger party box ($45), see picture! The cabana also includes a refrigerator with bottled water, towels and a safe. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids. The hotel is on the newer side and has a lot of amenities like a resort. There is a Starbucks/coffee shop, a full market, 4 different restaurants and multiple gift shops. There is also a huge arcade that was a great after dinner activity! Would highly recommend families considering coming for a nice one night trip!

From the moment we arrived the property stood out as a monolith upon the mountain landscape. Valet took longer than I’d expect and check in was slightly chaotic but well managed. Once we were able to breath and get started the trip was a blast until the second we left. The waterpark is massive and so much fun. The arcade is well equipped and the credits go far. The activities (we did the escape room) are so well done. The food is incredible, if slightly overpriced. My only complaint would be the piano bar. The performance was extremely sub par. The vibe was sleepy and quiet. I’ve never been to a piano bar that made me want to fall asleep the way this one did. Other than that the rest is far superior to others we have visited (take note Great Wolf Lodge). Overall: 4.6/5

Overall,I feel that everyone in my group enjoyed visiting Kalahari. But it was about a 3 hour Drive for me,so I wish that they build one more closer to Delaware!. The prices are on the higher side . .I do feel that "Some" workers are way better than others! When we checked in,we had two Seasoned Ladies that was checking us in.Ooh,they was so nice,friendly .One was in training,but still carried herself very well... I did like to see that they had several machine workers walking around in the arcade.. *** I did like the two Women at the check in.I also had a very nice Male, older worker in the Zula food stand. VERY pleasant guy.. ..[ Hum,HUMM. some of those games seemed to be rigged!lol.A few needs to be looked at,because a person can and does spend alot of 💰, but still does not win a prize..I did have a issue,and went to the counter to a female worker on Easter Sunday..She just looked at me ,like what do you want me to do..lol.[ Another person to be Retrained].lol.. I did visit a shop to purchase 👕 items.When I asked questions to the worker ,I got.I don't know! I then left there to go get a Cupcake, which was a 8 dollar cupcake,which was semi messed up when the worker pretty much put them in a proper box!!.[ [[ While I was waiting for my order, I saw about 2 workers touch their nose& hair)]]]]].awwwwwww man,I was surely hoping that they would not be the one to grab my food!!.I do not want to be eating anyone dirty oily hair,or a boogie!!.smh.Just nasty.. [[ Who ever is a trainer,really should take comments like this and retrain some workers who are not displaying the best customer services 🙄!!]]..... [( Kalahari Resorts should have given me a refund,or at least give a free game play, when they have workers that are not up to doing their job completely. .]]] In closing my feedback..We did not eat any of the snacks that was in the room.,because they was not free!lol.Maybe they should not put it in the room,tempting people to eat it..I would rather be asked,if I want that,rather than I have to move it or be afraid that someone in the room will eat any of the food items!! Besides,we do not even know how fresh they are..When you see it,you think it's free like the coffee !lol.I moved it,while I was there..But it would be nice ,if I had a choice,...

We had a pleasant stay overall. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was convenient, and the food options were great for both adults and kids. The water park was a highlight — it features a variety of fun and thrilling rides that our family truly enjoyed. However, we did face a concerning incident at the lazy river that left us disappointed. While my daughter was playing, she accidentally flipped off her tube — a common occurrence in such a setting. Instead of offering help or de-escalating the situation, the nearby lifeguard displayed an alarming lack of professionalism. A fellow guest began shouting at my daughter, and rather than addressing the inappropriate behavior of the adult or ensuring my daughter was safe, the lifeguard threatened to remove my daughter from the pool if it happened again. This kind of language and attitude, especially towards a child, is completely unacceptable. Safety personnel are expected to maintain decorum and assist in managing such situations calmly and fairly — not escalate them or intimidate young guests. We hope the management will take this feedback seriously and ensure that their staff are properly trained in guest interaction and basic etiquette, especially when dealing with children. We would love to return, but only if we’re confident the safety team has been addressed on such issues.
