Kalahari Resorts Indoor Waterpark - Sandusky, OH

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, Ohio, for the first time with friends and family, and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the vibrant atmosphere of the resort set the tone for a fun-filled getaway. The indoor and outdoor water parks are truly a highlight. We were amazed by the variety of water activities available. There’s something for everyone, from thrilling water slides to relaxing lazy rivers. The hot tubs were a fantastic way to unwind after a day of excitement, providing a perfect balance of relaxation and fun. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed to enjoy our time. The cleanliness of the facilities also stood out, making us feel comfortable and safe throughout our visit. Overall, Kalahari Resort is a blast! Whether you're seeking adventure or relaxation, this place has it all. I can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories with friends and family. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a great getaway!

Great Overall Experience!! Can get a little busy at times, but thats to be expected. Multiple water slides, a lazy river and a wave pool. Those were the highlight to us. But as a parent, it would be nice if they just had a regular pool to swim in and enjoy.

The guest rooms were so good I thought I was in a V.I.P room. Then the water park was amazing, the wave pool made me feel like I was in an actual ocean. Then both of the toilet bowls were so scary but fun. But the new ride Dawn Breaker was one of the top four best water slides in my life. Last was the arcade, now I don’t hate the arcade but I got a creeper plushie and I got stuck but the nice lady aloud me to kept it even though it fell back into the machine.

Place is cool. Food is a bit expensive so be prepared to bring some or doordash. However my issue is that they started remodeling the place and converting it to a bland minimalist office space. Walking in the remodeled hallways gives a hollow and empty feeling inside. Complete lack of character and identity. Biggest downgrade in kalahistory.

What’s not to love about Kalihari! Always very fun, great staff and you can tell that lifeguards are trained and take their jobs very seriously! They have renovated since my last visit to this location (I’ve been to Toledo and Dells- dells wins because of the indoor amusement park and ropes course😅). The dining room is new and there are more games. The staff is so very nice and helpful. Of course the water is the main attraction, but don’t skip out on the attractions. The 4D movie and the escape room are especially fun and do yourself a favor and try the VR rides. If you’re doing attractions or games GET A PACKAGE BEFORE VISITING it’s way cheaper and caps what the kiddos can get you to spend 😅. Only way I’d like Kalahari more is if the rooms were a bit nicer and there were more healthy and vegetarian dining options. We went early in the season, so the main floor restaurant and buffet weren’t open much. Other food options are typical kid fare 🍟🌭🍔🍕 Staff - keep up the good work!
