Kidtopia Kids Club
Overview
Expert Summary
Detailed Insights
Kidtopia Kids Club offers a highly polarized experience for parents. While some praise the exceptionally energetic, compassionate, and fun staff who engage children in activities like soccer, leading to very enthusiastic kids, others describe it as an overpriced, unfulfilling daycare. The latter group reported a severe lack of advertised educational and entertaining programming, with activities limited to a few board games, movie time, and a 'short walk' over an 8-hour period. It appears to be a more basic supervision service rather than an enriching camp-type setting, particularly for older children.

💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →Consider only for very short stays (1-2 hours) if your child is in the 3-5 year old age range and you require basic supervision.
- →Do not expect enriching, educational, or diverse camp-like programming based on some experiences.
- →Verify current activity schedules directly with Kidtopia, especially if enrolling for longer durations, as offerings appear inconsistent.
Things to Consider
- ⚠Significant discrepancy between advertised programming (educational, entertaining, outings) and actual activities offered (few board games, movie time, short walk over 8 hours).
- ⚠No educational or other varied programs offered during an 8-hour stay.
- ⚠Children housed in a 'relatively small room with limited opportunities for activity and entertainment'.
- ⚠Book selection limited to 'very small children' to be read to, with no books for young readers (5-7 year olds).
- ⚠Described as a 'run-down day care' rather than an enriching camp-type setting.
- ⚠Perceived lack of attention to detail, varied activities, and skilled staff for the price point.
Price & Value
Very high at $142.00 PER CHILD PER DAY (totaling $284.00 per day for two children). One review highlights this as extremely poor value, describing the service received as a 'run-down day care' with minimal activities (board games, movie, short walk) for an 8-hour period, falling far short of expectations for educational programming and skilled staff.

2 years agoWhat is not to love? The kids are always pumped up to go to Kidtopia and suppose that has a to do with the staff being over the top energetic, compassionate, and fun. We love the way that they take the class out to play soccer and alike. Our experience has been exceptional across the board.

3 years agoWe stayed as guests of a member at Omni La Costa for 4 nights. The resort is truly exceptional. However, after our stay, our impression of their kids' camp/care could not be much lower. Kidtopia advertises on its website description to have educational and entertaining programming for the children throughout the day including outings and activities. We stayed at Omni La Costa and enrolled our two children (5 and 7) for two full days. We were sorely disappointed with the Kidtopia program. The only activities offered during their 8 hour stay were a few board games and movie time in addition to a "short walk." There were no educational or other programs offered. In essence, they were housed in a relatively small room with limited opportunities for activity and entertainment. The books available were for only for very small children to be read to. There were no books for young readers looking for interesting topics. This program is likely more than adequate for members and guests who wish to leave their small children for an hour two. But this is not an enriching camp-type setting; it is more like a run-down day care. We had high hopes, especially at $142.00 PER CHILD PER DAY (Total $284.00 per day!!!). For that price, we expected attention to detail, activities, and skilled staff. It had none of those things. It was just a day care catering more to 3-5 year old children without any dynamic or interesting resources for the children. I strongly advise against using Kidtopia if for anything longer than a couple of hours.
