3 weeks agoWe ran into a random dude in pioneer square, who said that this is the best museum and we had to try it, he was SO right! I would have easily. Een happy spending 10 dollars for admission, but best of all this place is FREE. The video about how the Klondike happened was interesting, although I have seen the actual original first claim, and it doesn't look like it shows in the movie. I got to see how much I would be worth if I was gold, and well... Let's just say I'm a large man... I really enjoyed this and you should all check it out.

2 months agoFree and a must visit if you are in the area. Plan to spend an hour or two here because many of the exhibits are interactive and the information presented is easy to digest. My favorite part of the museum is the theme that most folks were in the gold rush for the journey and adventure and most would do it again. I would definitely coming back and spend more time here when I am in Seattle.

2 weeks agoThis is a real gem in Pioneer Square. A wonderful exhibit of how the Klondike Gold Rush impacted the Seattle area, as well as exhibits of the harsh conditions that met prospectors on their journey there. There are ranger-lead tours throughout the day. Admission is free.

4 weeks agoFriendly staff and can spend a nice rainy afternoon here for an hour or two. Very cool look into the history of Seattle’s gold rush. I highly recommend checking it out! And it’s free! Then walk over to ID-district to check out the Wing Luke museum’s free tours (comes with admission ticket).

2 months agoGreat way to spend a little time if out and about in Seattle. If you enjoy taking in a little history, this is a very nicely put together exhibit on the Klondike Gold Rush. As an added bonus it is free. Everything is clean and well kept and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this little museum to anyone.
