Lake Johanna small lake in Arden hills. I give this lake 5 stars because it's the perfect size. Great place to take youngsters fishing or a beautiful lake to canoe or kayak. They have rules in place that make the lake enjoyable for everyone. Specific times that the whole lake is no wake. So if you are enjoying the beach mid day it will be enjoyable and no boats or jet skis flying around as the speed limit is in effect at that time. The fishing is also decent for a metro area lake. They have a beach and playground and plenty of parking. Just don't park in the boat launch area without a trailer. Again many parking spots for vehicles not pulling boats. People who live on the lake are very friendly also. The boat launch is great! It's well maintained and launching boats is effortless.

Went to the beach with my boy to do some ‘after-summer’ metal detecting my boy loves to do. We found no treasures this day but lots of interesting bits & pieces of metal! lake Johanna has a great beach, play area for kids, an excellent park with many grills for BBQ family fun. The park is on both sides of the road and there is almost always room for family & friends. We have also reserved pavilions for B-Day parties very reasonably! Great place to spend and afternoon😁

I grew up on lake Johanna and it is the most beautiful lake in the whole world I feel. Very partial to it but it was always very good to our family and to this day my 96-year-old mother lives still on the lake in Presbyterian homes. It was the most fun place ever to grow up.

My children and I went to this beach last week for the first time. The beach, park and pavilions are very nice and as a first timer I was very impressed with the park and the bathrooms being right on the beach and everything looked clean and there were no issues. However, the night following our day at the beach my children and I ended up getting a serious case of swimmers itch. I was not aware of the report of this and did not see any signs when I went there. Either I missed them or they weren’t in a visible to people. But I recently discovered through my own research that it has been reported already. Anyways, it is a really nice area the only downfall is the horrrrrrrible swimmers itch issue. It is now day 6 of getting this and our rash is finally starting to progress. If you don’t care about that then I would recommend this beach to everyone but I wouldn’t go there again of course until there is an update that this issue has been taken care of.
