a month agoBest sunset and ocean view in SF! It’s also very nice to walk around the coast and enjoy the view from top level to overview the beautiful city. Highly recommended to visit here to take pictures with friends or family.

a month agoI love stopping in at this lookout and shop whenever I visit Lands End. There are many souvenirs, maps & other goodies as well as clean restrooms. The parking lot offer free parking and the views are sensational. As it was a warm day I purchased a gelato bar (strawberry-lemonade) and it was honestly one of the best gelato bars I’ve had before. It totally hit the spot.

4 months agoLands End is a must-visit destination that combines rich historical significance with stunning natural beauty. Located at the northwestern edge of the city, Lands End is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, the rugged coastline, and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. The site holds a fascinating history. It was once home to the Sutro Baths, a massive saltwater swimming complex built in 1896 by Adolph Sutro, a prominent San Francisco entrepreneur and former mayor. The Baths were a popular attraction in their time, featuring seven pools, natural and artificial heating, and even a museum and concert hall. Though the Baths were destroyed by a fire in 1966, their ruins remain a key highlight, adding an atmospheric and historical layer to the visit. Lands End offers a variety of trails, including a picturesque staircase leading down to the Sutro Baths ruins and a challenging but rewarding path to the beach below. For those who prefer a more leisurely hike, the Lands End Trail meanders along the cliffs, providing sweeping views of the ocean and the Golden Gate Bridge, especially on clear days. Parking is free, but be mindful that it can be limited, so it’s best to arrive early to secure a spot.

7 months agoGreat area with some history and hikes. Free parking if you arrive early and can get a spot. There are lots of stairs in the area and lots of trails with more stairs. It's a really cool lookout and a cave that we explored and the suturo baths as well.

5 months agoThis overlook allows you great views of Sutro Baths and the Pacific Ocean. Take the nearby trail farther along the coast and you'll be rewarded with views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin Headlands. Awesome and great places for photos.
