💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →If driving to the center, be aware of ongoing construction and drive slowly, though it doesn't affect hours or parking.
- →Highly recommended for parents seeking organized sports opportunities like youth basketball teams.
- →Consider for an affordable gym membership for adults or older teens, as classes are also available.
- →Do NOT rely on this center for spontaneous 'open gym' basketball for your children; reviews indicate it hasn't been available for years.
Things to Consider
- ⚠A significant and long-standing issue (3+ years) regarding the lack of 'open gym' availability for kids to play basketball spontaneously, leading to parental frustration and accusations of dishonesty about reservations.
- ⚠Privacy concern in the ladies' bathroom: the door to the baby-changing area is visible from the front desk, potentially compromising privacy.
- ⚠Ongoing construction around the center, while not impacting hours or parking, requires visitors to drive slowly.

5 years agoReally nice, clean and spacious. There is construction around the center, but it doesn't impact the rec center's hours or parking. Just drive slowly through and you'll get there. Very nice fitness room, which includes a weight area with a variety of machines and free weights. Everything is neat and situated nicely for adding on additional weights.

5 years agoAwesome staff, parents, young ball players, great facilities as well. My 1st year coaching 2 basketball teams at this location and it was nothing short of fun and great experience for all the families. Will most definitely be coaching there again next season.

a year agoClean. The front desk is situated across from the lady's bathroom. The door to the ladies' room is open, it seems awkward that the desk Attendants can see into the baby-changing part of the bathroom.

3 years agoLazelle woods community center Is a lie, they always lie about there reservations, when asked about open gym. I’ve lived in worthington all my life, the last time they had an open gym for kids to go lace up and shoot hoops, it has been a total of 3years since then, I believe that rec centers have a big aspect on kids game nowadays, but with them not never opening up the gym for kids is ridiculous. They are just lazy and don’t wanna deal with kids, do better !! You guys being lazy is lowering the chances of kids working on there game and staying out of trouble I need a change now !
