2 weeks agoOne of the best in Tampa for a nature walk. The paved trails and boardwalk are well maintained. This time, I did about half of the boardwalk and hammock trail for a total of about 2 miles. I saw alligators, herons, and turtles. The observation deck is the perfect spot for photos. Their self guided audio tour was nice. The boardwalk is partially under construction, and I can't wait to see 🤗

a month ago2 dollar entry, which I would honestly have paid more it was so magical. Beautiful recreational areas, playground for the kids, a wildlife education center with a native plant garden in front. You can kayak on the lake, and there is an impressive boardwalk that wraps around the lake, with an observation deck to look from above. The restrooms were also clean and accessible and there were shelters available to reserve for events. I wish we had more time here because it was a great stop.

2 years agoWe loved this park! If we'd had more time, we definitely would have rented a canoe. It's a great wildlife preserve. There's one section closed on the boardwalk right now, and you can't climb the tower (also closed), but everything else was great. Lots of baby gators and birds. All the large gators were hiding when we were here but it was still worth the time and $2 entry fee. If you have the time (you can see a lot in less than an hour), I recommend coming here. We also appreciated the water filling inside the nature center.

2 years agoIf you're looking for a cool and refreshing outdoor experience, this park is a must-visit! The trail is easy to walk and suitable for people of all ages, and the $2 entree fee per car is well worth it for the beautiful scenery and wildlife sightings. During my visit, I was lucky enough to see alligators in their natural habitat. The boardwalks are well-maintained and provide stunning views of the surrounding landscape. I especially enjoyed the observation tower, which offered a panoramic view of the park. There are also several shelters and a playground for families with children. This is a great place to take photos and capture special memories. Overall, I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a fun and scenic outdoor adventure with friends and family.
