2 months agoWe took our youth group from church here on a Saturday. The wait was about 20-30 minutes because we bought tickets to ride the trolly through the cavern. I would definitely recommend that!! The view isn’t blocked by anything or anyone and the experience is 1000 times better! Dress warm because it’s cold but it’s totally worth it. I wore a sweatshirt and I was fine. 😁 There’s Christmas music playing throughout the cave and there’s just so much to see and it really captures the joy of Christmas as far as lights and music. We absolutely loved it!! I would highly recommend this at least once! They also have a few activities inside that are an extra charge. This ride is underground in a cavern so keep that in mind if you have a phobia about that. I’m claustrophobic and it didn’t bother me at all. The space is very big and open. So much fun and so beautiful!!

4 months agoFirst time going here, I have been wanting to take the family for some time now and this didn't disappoint. It's affordable when you think about it. You pay per vehicle. All I could hear my kids say was that my favorite now. They are 10 & 8 an it's like I could see that Christmas spirit oozing out of them the look of amazement was worth driving 3.25 hrs each way

4 months agoWhat a fun attraction! We drove up from Nashville on a day trip and really enjoyed the lights. It was Sunday and we didn’t wait long. I think that, since it’s indoors, they can spread traffic out throughout the day and it’s not as crowded as some of the other light shows. My son loved seeing all the Disney characters! We will definitely come back next year.

3 months agoArrived at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. There were virtually no cars which made the drive-thru much more enjoyable. We could take our time and even stop if we wanted as there were no cars behind us. All in our party were thrilled with the lights, the various themes, as well as great audio tied in sink with various lights. Enjoyable for children and adults alike.

4 months agoA very fun and worthwhile experience. I believe the best way to experience the lights is going on a weekday and/or going early in the day. It's a great experience any time of day as there's no natural light to worry about in a cavern. ;) I also recommend taking the Christmas Express/tram where you have an open top view and do not have to be distracted by pacing or paying attention to who is in front of you. The cavern is a little tricky to get to, but not horrible. Once you're near the destination GPS may not be helpful so just keep an eye on all the signs placed for the event. If you take the Christmas Express and have arrived in the parking lot simply walk to the shelter and follow the yellow footprints. The Christmas Express is scheduled so no wait time and the tour was around 40 minutes long. The souvenir shop is cozy and most items are reasonably priced. Don (the conductor for the Christmas Express) was great and reminded me a lot of tour guides from my childhood (I'm 50) and definitely provided a sense of nostalgia. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Order tickets in advance. Restroom(s) present. Snacks and drinks available. Exhaust fumes weren't noticeable/well ventilated. Music was loud, but not intolerable. Temperature in the cavern is around 58-60 degrees and the tram moves somewhat slowly so a hoodie or sweater will have you warm enough. Keep in mind your phone will have zero service in the cavern.
