a month agoI always have a great experience when i visit. Attended Zoo lights again. It was even better this year. It's more vibrant. More characters and lights. Music everywhere and some of the animal exhibits were open, so we went to the zoo as well, if you get what i mean. Food, fun, festive!

a month agoLove the experience, the ability to go in on any of the available gates just walk in and enjoy the beauty, even the architecture of the pavilions is nice the entrances and the interior really nice! Surprised that pretty much 85% of the zoo is actually open in winter. As many animals are sensitive to temperatures so extreme as the ones in Chicago. But it's nice to have close spaces to admire the beauty of the animals. And the preservation and study efforts from the zoo itself. I will definitely go back!

3 months agoThis is a spectacular zoo considering it's free. I think I go extremely lucky on this visit because the weather was perfect (not too hot, not too cold, 66 degrees F). Thursday morning, so it wasn't crowded, but there were school groups, and a lot of people going for exercise. Pretty much all the animals were active and it was surprising how big it was! The zoo did a great job in making it easy to navigate and I was so happy that I took the time to stop by. I spent a couple of hours here just taking my time and enjoying everything there was to see.

4 weeks ago1.17.2025 We had a fantastic family outing at Lincoln Park Zoo! The zoo is clean, well-maintained, and offers a great variety of animals to see. The highlights for us were the lions and the red panda bear exhibit, which captivated us. There are plenty of shaded areas and spots to rest, making it comfortable even for longer visits. Admission is free, which is amazing for the quality experience provided. The staff were friendly and helpful, It’s a perfect spot for a family day, and we can’t wait to return!

2 months agoLincoln Park Zoo is a great option for anyone looking for a large, free zoo experience. There's a lot to see, with a wide variety of animals and plenty of space to explore. The zoo has systems in place that allow animals to choose whether they interact with visitors, ensuring their autonomy and comfort. The zoo also focuses on conservation efforts, which adds to its appeal. During my visit, I particularly enjoyed seeing the pygmy hippo, a sleeping gorilla, and the polar bear relaxing in its habitat. The otters were also a highlight, especially when they were being fed and put on a playful display. It’s a solid place to visit during regular hours, but also worth checking out during the Zoo Lights event in the winter, when the holiday displays add extra charm. Overall, it’s a well-run, enjoyable zoo that’s easy to recommend.
