a month agoClean paved trail. We started at Northern Heights but from my understanding there are several start points. Plenty of parking. Dogs on leash is fine. Plenty of surface on trail for bikes, walkers, dogs. When u start you can go left or right, we went left for about 2.5 miles . We only saw one restroom and trash can, by the entrance ( had to carry dog poop that sucked)

3 years agoOne of my favorite places to walk year round. If you’ve not been out this winter to see it frozen, you’re missing out. This winter wonderland is “otherworldly”. The best place to see waterfalls is at the Community Center Entrance on Waukomis — just across from the Elementary School. If you park at the lot near the creek, there is a sidewalk that crosses over the creek (it’s impassable during high water). Head left once you cross and walk less than 2-tenths of a mile. This is one of the best falls at Line Creek, especially if you have your dog with you. There are rock shelves to get down to the water. If you head in the opposite direction walking about 7-tenths of a mile, there is another nice waterfall. This one has a much steeper embankment, but definitely worth climbing down for a better view.

4 years agoVery nice clean, paved trail. Everyone is friendly and courteous. Almost everyone waves in passing. Once you get a quarter mile pass the main trail heads..... You're basically on your own. It is aligned with a creek so it's pretty cool to jog by the creek. Has a few Bridges and crossing going over the creek. This particular trail is pretty flat...so for the beginning runners and cyclers like myself, it works well. For more advance people, it may be a huge challenge. There are also trail markers to let you know how far along you are. I love those. I know my distance without looking at technology. I believe the trail is a total of 5 miles long.

a year agoEasy little walk with beautiful views of nature. Nice little creek area for kids and dogs to play too. If you park at the trailhead, walk down the trail, turn left and go down about a quarter mile to see the mini falls.
