a week agoVery nice experience with the smallest espresso ever. Ideal for 2-3 hrs afternoon visit during weekdays enjoying reduced rates and few visitors. Drive-thru safari is pretty cool with a lot of wildlife to see and close up encounters. Takes about an hour with no traffic and plenty stopping to admire the animals. Afterwards spare an hr. for a walk through an animal park with some water and other attractions. You can find decent coffee ☕ at the shop..just check how much you actually get ...as our dollar 5 espresso was the tiniest we had ever. 2 hrs was just fine for us...plan for more time if you want to attend animal shows, the water attractions and more. So get out there and enjoy an afternoon.

3 weeks agoSuch a fun day with the family. This is great for kids of all ages. We spent about 4-5 hours here. The safari was very fun with many animals getting up close and personal. The attraction area at the end of the safari was much more substantial than antivirals anticipated. We had hours of fun at the exhibits and we didn't even do the water area that looked fun. I would recommend this to people traveling to this area.

2 weeks agoFound this safari drive was a waste of time and felt like being in the i4 in central Florida. The lions (saw 4) were in a chain link gated area. The other animals that were at large were what-ever. The walk around park did not have enough animals. Monkeys were far away on islands...bring binoculars if you want to see them! Very disappointing. The other activities to do like peddle boats looks so lame. Prices of the food very expensive. The grounds were well kept and nicely shaded. Kids would enjoy this place...they have little rides and a splash pad area. But for adults who have been to Animal Kindgom at Disney, this animal park is lame.

2 weeks agoWhile the actual walking zoo itself is smaller than big city zoos, it’s beautiful with plenty of animals to see. A fun petting zoo awaits people of all ages. The main attraction is the drive thru safari!! Experience animals from around the world, up close and personal, as you slowly make your way around miles of winding roads. It takes us about an hour to complete the loop during the morning hours before the crowds. Get your camera ready because the zebras and other animals cross the road in herds, resulting in the only kind of traffic jam you will appreciate!! There is a quaint family sit down restaurant inside the zoo and a water park that is perfect to quench the summer, So FL heat!! Grab your family and friends and head to Lion Country Safari!!

a week agoI recently had the chance to visit Lion Safari Park, and I wanted to share my experience with you. Honestly, it was a pretty cool day out. The highlight, without a doubt, is driving through the enclosures and seeing these magnificent animals up close. I mean, where else can you safely watch a pride of lions lounging just a few feet from your car? It's definitely a different vibe than seeing them in a zoo. The sheer size and presence of the lions, tigers, and even the rhinos were just breathtaking. You really get a sense of their power and how they live in a more natural setting. I also enjoyed the other parts of the park, like the walk-through areas where you can see smaller animals and birds. They had a decent variety, and it was nice to stretch my legs after being in the car. There were also some educational talks happening, which were interesting if you wanted to learn more about the animals and their conservation. Now, a couple of things to keep in mind if you're planning a visit. It can get pretty busy, especially on weekends, so you might encounter some traffic within the park. Also, depending on the time of year and the animals' moods, they might be more or less active. We went mid-afternoon, and while we saw a good amount, some were definitely taking a siesta! Overall, I'd say Lion Safari Park is a worthwhile experience, especially if you're an animal lover. It's a unique opportunity to see these incredible creatures in a way that feels a bit more wild than your typical zoo visit. Just be prepared for potential crowds and the fact that the animals are on their own schedule! Definitely bring your camera – you'll want to capture some of those moments.
