a week agoThis place was a highlight to my Vegas trip. I was trying to find a zoo like place to take my grandchild and this habitat was the best found place. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with greatness. Our favorite person was Jim. He was so knowledgeable, gave us lots of great information on the habitat, on the animals and he had great information on the lions that we did not know. Jim even took great photos for us to have memories with our grandchild. I would hands down, go here again. Worth the trip!

a month agoMy boyfriend took me as a surprise. When we arrived I won't deny the squeal of excitement that escaped me followed by the immediate thought of unease upon entry but I was quick to judge and I felt guilty for it. I felt the lions should have had more room than they do but I quickly learned that these volunteers and workers are giving these lions an amazing life full of enrichment, companionship, a healthy maintained diet, and a clean bill of health (as well as up-kept enclosures). Almost all of the animals are seniors, especially the lions, and yet their weight is superb; in fact, their weight is so good they're heavier than most lions half their age and most of their lions are between 10 - 20 years of age. Whether it's a lion, tortoise, or bird, every animal is well-loved by staff and it's immediately evident. We did the personal tour rather than general admission which I highly recommend; you get so much information on each character as well as getting as up close and personal as safely possible. When the 2-hour tour is done, you have unlimited access to the park until closing, can join another tour if desired, and get to check out the shows and shop. I 100% recommend doing this!!! I will be going back soon! And don't forget to purchase a one-of-a-kind painting by a resident lion who has been painting with his handler since he was a cub!

2 weeks agoBuying tickets and filling out releases on my phone was a breeze. Everyone was very friendly and willing to answer our many questions. Listening to the lions communicate from area to area was so very interesting. Watching feeding time was also interesting. A very kind lady explained to us the lions’ histories and how they were acquired. Jim was very helpful with photos and spent time educating our granddaughter on emus and ostriches. Thank you for a very pleasant outing while visiting LV.

2 weeks agoThis was one of my favorite things I did on this trip. My wife and I spent almost all afternoon here. It's clear that they take very good care of all the animals here. Everyone was very knowledgeable about all the animals and eager to share their story. It was fun to bounce from cage to cage to see all the enrichment.
