5 months agoWe went to the free dress rehearsal for Mr. Kringle's Inventionasium Experience put on by LIT Immersive. Our 4 year old loved the experience! The actors were great and had fabulous costumes and personalities that made us feel like we truly had been transported to a magical world up north. We got to make a toy (a puppetl) and play some games before getting solo time with Mr. Kringle himself. My son loved having the solo experience with him as we got what felt like a really long time to chat with Mr. Kringle (eg Santa) and get photos taken. I have no clue what the professional photos look like but we were able to snap some with our own photo too. My son has already asked when we can come back again!

6 months agoMy friend and I attended the 21+ Lit Immersive Carnival last night and had a BLAST. We arrived at 7:45 and left when they closed. From the beginning, everything felt thoughtful and fun. You enter the foyer and are greeted, offered a coat check, and directed to the bar in case you want to purchase some pre-experience drinks (since you can't bring drinks into the primary exhibit). The foyer area is cutely decorated, and the bar has alcoholic and NA options. They had a pumpkin cider that was really yummy - not too sweet and not too spice forward. The bartenders were really friendly and we had a great chat - excellent vibes before we ever entered the experience. Once you enter, you're greeted by two actors who give you the rundown on the story, teach you some secret tricks to give you access to the later parts of the journey, and explain your mission. I will say up front - this is immersive. You'll get so much more out of this if you play along with enthusiasm and engage in the story being told. The actors are working hard to keep the energy up and make it fun, so have fun with them and you'll have more fun overall! We went through a portal to another dimension, and were met by another actor who welcomed us from Earth and gave us a task to complete before we read aloud about the story (replete with accents if you're brave enough to be a little silly). We were then brought to more actors with more story points and more tasks. The journey through the story was thoughtful and fun, with tasks being simple enough to complete while still being enjoyable. At this point in the journey you meet the main characters and get to see two powerhouse performers dodge audience curve balls left and right - the ability to improv and engage no matter what we said was impressive and extremely fun. Out of a ton of fun moments, this was one of my favorites. After you finish the story, you're let out into a bar/dance floor/gift shop area to dance, drink, and enjoy a burlesque performance that happens every ~20 minutes. You can hang out here for as long as you like. While this area isn't huge, there're a ton of photo ops and thoughtful details - the gift shop has a bunch of cool, reasonably priced goodies, the bar has colorful and exciting drinks, the burlesque performance was impressive (we saw it 3 times and were enamored every time), and there's even a fortune tent... if you're lucky enough to find it. You can tell that there's a lot of heart put into this show - they made exceptional use of the budget to create a colorful, wacky world and I can tell that every dollar was thoughtfully spent. We had a chance to talk to the owners after the event and the passion is evident. Can't wait for the Christmas show! I didn't want to spoil all the fun surprises you're in for, so I hope you get out to experience this yourself before the end of the run. It was well worth the $40.

7 months agoMy boyfriend and I went to Cosmic Carnival last night and we had a great time! We didn’t really know what to expect but it was basically like an interactive fun house. The staff and actors were amazing! So friendly and enthusiastic. I thought the tickets were reasonably priced for the experience, especially considering the immersive experience with a fun cast. I would definitely recommend this for a fun night out with a group of friends or a cute date night. I would also recommend dressing up in glow in the dark outfits! I also heard they will be doing a similar Christmas-themed event. I will be back for that!

2 months agoI went to the Ambrosia show and had a great time. I didn’t know what to expect but it’s kinda like a dash of interactive theater with a bit of puzzles and activities kind of like an escape room but you can do it your own pace. But the cast is what makes the experience work. There are some great characters that are fun to interact with. You can roll play with them or just be yourself and ask them more about their character or what’s going on in the business that you are partaking in for the show. I didn’t know what to expect but had a really great time. And I went by myself but ended up meeting some other people there and we had a fun time together. I wouldn’t say this is a thing I would usually go to on my own but I’m glad I did and I’d go to more of these. I’m not sure I’ve done anything quite like this before but I’d recommend it if you are looking for an experience.

5 months agoMy family went to Mr. Kringle's Inventionasium last weekend. It was super cute! This show definitely caters to younger kiddos, but my teens enjoyed watching the little kids in our group respond to the journey, and many of the rooms had activities geared toward older kids as well. Best of all, we got some really great photos with Santa at the end - lots of digital images professionally taken for us to choose from LATER from home, which I really appreciated. The sets are magical, the performers are fun & enthusiastic. It's a fun way to get in the holiday spirit.
