a month agoMy son and I spent several hours at Little Crooked Creek Safari today and it was such a wonderful experience. The family that owns the farm are so kind, friendly and helpful. The animals on the farm are really well taken care of, and you can tell how much the family loves them all. We were so grateful for the opportunity to meet all of the animals, learn about them, feed them healthy snacks and spend time with them. We definitely would like to come back in the summer when the outdoor exhibits are opened. Truly this was just a wonderful experience!

2 months agoWe visited for the first time the first weekend of March and had a great experience. The crowd inside the building was a bit overwhelming, I don’t think the owners were expecting such a large crowd but I’m glad they were getting business. The animals were all friendly and well cared for. The owner/staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Even though it was busy, wait times weren’t too long. The rest of the farm is closed for winter but there were still buffalo, what I *think* are called Nilgai, and the cutest porcupines outside to interact with and feed. Poppy, the 10 day old camel who was wandering around was super sweet and a huge hit with our kids. All in all, it was a great visit and we can’t wait to go back later in the season to see the rest of the animals.

4 months agoThis family-operated zoo, situated in Shelby County, is truly a hidden treasure. Upon arrival, visitors are warmly welcomed by the owner, with his family actively participating in the zoo's daily operations. Their deep knowledge and evident passion for each animal are commendable. Most of the animals are receptive to human interaction, often approaching visitors for a gentle pat or to sample the complimentary food provided at entry. Each animal is raised with care, enjoying a bottle-feeding regimen and thriving in the presence of people. My daughters and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit, and we look forward to returning in the near future.

a month agoVery cool!! We brought our kids out here on a Saturday and had an absolute blast! Ask we walked up, we were surprised to see a baby zebra! Also outside, bison, camels, chickens, porcupines, and many other really fun animals!. We were able to feed them with fruits and vegetables provided from the farm owners/management (not sure 100% their relationship, but all staff was very pleasant). Inside there were capybara, an anteater, a sloth (the day mvp), some fennec foxes and a lot of other neat animals that you get to see or interact with up close. Even a baby fawn and cow in there like a movie scene. Would definitely recommend to any one with children or any animal lovers out there. We will be back for sure.

2 months agoTook the wife and daughter so that they could pet the animals and rub a sloth. We was not disappointed by the animals or the friendly staff. We had fun feeding and petting the animals and interacting with the 2 sloths onsite. Would recommend to anyone that are interested in visiting a family friendly petting facility.
