Great spot for the family to get some fresh air and enjoy nature. Plenty of trails to explore. Signs identifying local wildlife and plants. Inside the center there’s a nice museum and play area for kids. I have a 2 and 4 year old and they loved it here! We spent about 2 hours there which was perfect for them.

Great access point to the Palos Trail System and many smaller trails near the nature center. Plenty of parking and restrooms are located in the nature center. Beautiful area!

It was a perfect day for a field trip. We were looking for signs of fall and enjoyed the outdoors immensely.

I visited here yesterday with my friend. I hadn't been in so long. What a beautiful , updated nature center. The original schoolhouse is still standing but closed while a brand new building is there with handicap accessible building, restroom and trail. There is a picnic area. There are plenty of benches to sit and look at , listen to and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. Family fun for all ages.

This nature center is really cool! It has a main building with nice restrooms and sitting area with books for kids and a chalk board. There is cool taxidermy on display as well as some live animals such as snakes and spiders. There is an old red school with other old items on display from past times. The trails are really nice and well marked. There were birds everywhere as well as some coyotes, which is why you can bring your dogs. I had a great time!
