Beautiful and serene park nestled away in the Loring Heights Neighborhood. It’s very well kept - the neighborhood does a great job with the park upkeep. There is a nice walkway around the lovely pond, and even a spacious deck for grilling that overlooks the water. The playground area is right next to the deck, providing a safe play area for kids. The park is usually pretty empty, but on weekends I have seen families enjoying the park. Usually I find adults grilling out on the deck while their children are playing. I often bring my Dog here since there is a fenced in Dog Park adjacent to the park. The Dog Park backs up along the interstate. If it wasn’t for the interstate being used as a wall the Dog Park, you would barely notice you were downtown. I walk my dog here frequently on weeknights, and usually find other people doing the same. People do obey the leash rules and have their dogs on leashes. My dog loves walking around the pond with me because we often see ducks. Last time they kept quacking at us, and he just sat there staring at them.
