The Lost Creek Canyon hike is a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful escape into nature. Tucked away in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, this hike offers a perfect blend of stunning scenery, a manageable trail, and the serenity that comes with being slightly off the beaten path. The trail is relatively short and easy, making it accessible for hikers of all skill levels, including families with children or those just looking for a quick outdoor adventure. Despite its brevity, the hike doesn’t skimp on beauty. As you wind your way through the canyon, you’ll be treated to dramatic rock formations, lush greenery, and the soothing sound of a small, seasonal waterfall at the end of the trail. One of the highlights of Lost Creek Canyon is the variety of landscapes you encounter along the way. From towering red cliffs to shaded groves, the trail offers a diverse array of natural beauty that keeps the hike interesting from start to finish. The canyon itself is a tranquil oasis, offering a cool, shady retreat from the desert sun—a perfect spot to pause and take in the surroundings. While the waterfall may be just a trickle depending on the season, the journey through the canyon is rewarding in itself. The peacefulness of the area, combined with the striking contrast of red rock against blue sky, creates a truly memorable experience. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow, with a clear path that takes you directly to the waterfall. Because it’s a relatively easy hike, it can get a bit busy, especially on weekends, but it’s still much less crowded than some of the more popular trails in the area. Overall, the Lost Creek Canyon hike is a wonderful way to experience the natural beauty of Red Rock Canyon without committing to a strenuous trek. It’s an ideal choice for those looking to enjoy a scenic, leisurely hike in a stunning setting. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this trail is definitely worth exploring.

Easy trail to see a waterfall in Red Rock Conservation area. The whole hike is approximately 1 mile and is very scenic. The end of the trail is just serene and we relaxed there for about half an hour.

Probably my new favorite spot in Red Rock besides the First Creek waterfall. It’s a nice quick hike and it takes you to a beautiful wooded canyon, and it is quite the sight to see the ‘waterfall’ (trickling snow melt or monsoon runoff depending on season) emerge from behind the trees in the middle of the Mojave Desert. The trail is well maintained and is suitable for hikers of all ages. I would allow for half an hour here.

Overall a very beautiful place, however this trail is really not easy lol some people say it is but it's not. It is very narrow in some parts, and honestly some parts where very difficult. If you have a bad back or don't balance well then this trail is probably not for you. It was definitely a work out!
