Louisville Zoo

Great animals. Staff are happy to answer any questions we had. Our family enjoyed the solar-powered carousel. My only complaint is that the gift shop offerings have been pared down in such a way that I couldn’t find anything for my granddaughter under $17. This is also unfortunate due to the number of field trips that come through and could provide more revenue.

This zoo is an absolute treasure and a shining beacon of inspiration! We visited during their “off-season hours” and discovered some areas were closed, but that didn't hold us back. The animals were radiating vibrant energy, and I was deeply moved by the awe-inspiring landscapes. In some areas, we felt completely enveloped, as if we were walking through a thriving jungle or forest. Highly recommended, it's a must-see destination that will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired!

To start we took a taxi to this place. Our driver stopped to let us out and a security guard/crosswalk attendant screamed at us to get back in the car. Another woman told us to walk through a spot which was unsafe to walk through. We got into the zoo and was looking for a restroom and a lady screamed at the whole entrance to get out of the area. Some members of the staff were especially courteous. The zoo itself isn't bad.

we went while it was snowing so a lot of the animals weren’t out but considering the weather they had a great selection! the only issue i think we had was the penny press machine didn’t work properly but they had spare ones and gave them to us, so that made up for that! great experience definitely gonna come again during the warmer months, not when it’s below freezing outside 😅

A great zoo! Not much shade, but it's a nice loop. We arrived around 11 am and stayed until 3:30 pm and we could've spent more time!
