2 years agoNow this is something really special! This is a looooong pedestrian bridge for walking and biking with some great water views. There are many species of bird here, and they're everywhere. We even saw a couple catch fish. We saw many turtles sunbathing. People were fishing, boating, and really enjoying use of this spectacular boardwalk. The trees here are magnificent. Whomever came up with the idea for this is an absolute genius. Kudos! If you're in the area, do yourself a favor, and check this place out! There are two Pokestops on the bridge itself, and several more (and gyms) at the park and trails at either end.

4 years agoThe boardwalk is especially nice. Bicyclists are numerous and polite. Not challenging so is good for persons physically impaired or just wanting an easy walk. Flat with off shoot groomed trails. Lots of wildlife. Parking at McDaniel Park in McFarland.

a year agoI am hereby naming the portion of trail from McDaniel Park to Rimrock road "The Rainbow Trail". To help ease the pain of losing their childhood pet, my kids helped me come up with a way to help other families go through such a hard time. Anyone who is missing a lost pet can go on this long walk (up to 9 miles paved) and watch for animals that remind them of their pet. If and when you find a creature, remember a happy memory of your pet. Write your pets name in chalk on the trail - near where you spotted the creature. This post is for Kirby, who lived a long, happy spoiled life - and that some owls I see remind me of his stripes. It would bring us joy if anyone leaves a review and spotted a critter that reminded them of their pet. Thank you
