9 months agoWe took off from the Lowry Park Boat ramp to go kayaking. It was a breeze. The water was calm, the views were amazing and the park itself was serene! It was a wonderful experience. My only complaint is that it was a bit difficult to locate.

11 months agoI started walking the paved walking path near Clinton St. and N. Boulevard and walked to the Lowry Park Boat Ramp. I thought there was a bit more to the walking path, but some of it was a zoo parking lot. There was a small playground, pavillions, and a couple fishing docks. They also had a stop for the water taxi. Everything was well maintained and had some shade. The total was just under 1 mile.

a year agoGreat park, especially nestled into a busy city. It flooded out during the hurricane and was serviceable later that same day. There was a manatee and her calf feeding in what was once a small creek after the water rose. Enjoy

3 years agoBeautiful green park, located right next to the zoo and a river. Many walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground. Hundreds of squirrels and some gees in the park. There's also a water taxi access. Parking is free and there's no charge to access the park. Lots of people walking their dogs, very pleasant experience. I recommend this park!

a year agoWe stopped here on the way home to wait for the rush hour traffic to settle. It was a great opportunity to socialize my service dog in training and we were not disappointed. The trail was just about a mile long loop along the river with several wooden bridges and a boat ramp. Since it was a Wednesday afternoon, It was not crowded. The squirrels seemed a bit to friendly, perhaps to many treats from the public. They weren’t even concerned with my 7 month, 50+ lbs. Labrador pup. It was a great place to enjoy a slice of nature while avoiding the rush hour traffic.
